The above sentences are the thoughts of the author about what he thinks, but it is my duty to tell all the things he has in his mind. The space science and the beginning of the human era, why I always talk about the past, why I'm interested in the dead stories, why I tell a tale of another time, why I don't like the present and, also why I'm not narrating about those dumbasses who were about to close the mysterious case of random killing by an unidentified criminal (creature)? You might have so many questions and confusions about the fact that I puzzle a simple story in what we call a Riddle…? But you can still believe in me that I'll give you a gift tomorrow.

A day where they could just be happy together, where being a team was enough. Iniko picked up his pencil and began to write. *My best day ever was today,* he wrote carefully, *because I got to come back to school and see my friends. My mama made me a sandwich and wrote me a note that said I'm her superhero. And even though some people were mean, my friend James stood up for me. That's what makes it the best day ever—not because everything was perfect, but because I had people who cared about me.* *And tomorrow will be even better, because I'll still be here. And that's something.*

We were sitting on the back deck as the sun began to set, the sky turning into a watercolor painting of deep oranges and soft purples. It had been nearly a year since we left the mountain; a whole year of quiet, steady, ordinary days. We had painted the kitchen, Silas had his vegetable patch thriving, and I’d finally finished writing that story I’d been carrying around in my head for months—not the one about the world ending, but the one about finding a place to call home.

I have NOT abandoned this story. 2024 just hates me. I am determined to finish this story, and do so as soon as possible. 2024 willing, updates start again tomorrow.

JUDITH'S POV The day I told Veronica about Emma's birthday started like any other ordinary day. The sun was shining brightly, birds were chirping outside my window, and I went about my usual routine without a clue about the chaos that would unfold. It was just another morning, or so I thought. Little did I know, this seemingly mundane day would spiral into something far more sinister than I could have ever imagined.

You can assume the character of the story I just told, Ebube was new to the system and I will be glad to support you. Jack's story is purely fictional and any resemblance to anyone living or dead is purely coincidental. I told you his story because I know how hard life can get for all of us. My life is getting harder and I am trying with every ounce left in me to cope with the stress but I don't know how long I can last. Mum's refusal to reason with Dad sickens me.
