The sudden ear piercing sound flinched me to which I instantly jumped back covering my ears not knowing what just happened. As I slightly lifted my head up, I saw nothing, but him seethe in anger as he had his clenching fist banged on his glass table smashing the surface glass into a number of pieces around him... He stood up from the chair pushing it back whilst he was giving his best look of death at me. A deep pang of worry which had hidden somewhere inside my broken heart crept into me when the stream of blood started running down the knuckles of his right arm. My eyes went wide in disbelief.... I could not resist myself from jerking my body front seeing him bleeding....

Even if they didn’t want to help them, I hoped that my scream was enough to haunt them and get them to run toward me and get me out of there. “Please! Somebody.” Sweat started to pull out of my pores all of a sudden, and I slowly raised my hand towards my ears that trickled. I brought my hand back from my ear and gasped when I saw what it was. Blood. I was bleeding from my ears, and this was it. Before I could make another call for help, I started to cough without end. I tasted the iron that poured out of my throat and into my mouth which I spat on the floor as I started to bleed internally.

I sneezed out another lump of clotted blood from my nose, resulting in a painful non stop nose bleeding "Damn it, it isn't a good sign.."

The boy with the shaggy blonde hair, and the kid with the crooked glasses both had bite wounds to their necks, marks that would scar given the boys were newly shifted. The one that had a silver hoop in his left ear had a bite mark on his arm and a face full of scratches that were slowly beginning to heal. Most of his blood loss came from his ear, where I’d torn the earring and part of his lobe, clean off his body. Out of the last two, one was curled into a fetal position, a growing patch of blood on the crotch of his jeans. The last was face down, whimpering in a pool of his own blood.

I wasn’t able to breathe properly as I managed to dial Lyon’s number “Pick up call Lyon.” I turned around immediately I felt a tap on my shoulder, my breath began to cease, I fell to the floor as my vision became blurry, I began panting when I felt a sharp pain in my stomach, I looked down and saw I was bleeding. I wasn't able to hear the sound of anything as the music was very loud. “Ahh” I shouted immediately I felt a sharp pain in my back.

It was so painful that I was certain blood was going to start dripping from my ears. "Joyce?" I heard Ollen through the mind link. "Joyce, are you alright?" I couldn't answer him, not when my eardrums were about to explode. "Stop..." I groaned, tears burning my eyes. "Please stop." The voices got louder before they completely disappeared. I gasped for air, my heart racing as I lay there, desperately trying to fill my lungs with air. "JOYCE!" Ollen snapped. "I'm coming back. Are you alright?"

We were in the middle of talking when her phone rang. “Excuse me, my lady.” She excused herself before standing up and walked towards the balcony. The guy walked near me as he explained some things and prescribed some medicine to help me with my back pain and the swollen skin under my ear. He said I’m already fine before looking away. What’s his problem? My eyebrows met as I touched my neck but I flinched when I suddenly touched something… Swollen… under my ears? What the? So that’s the reason why I felt stinging in this area…

I released an ear piercing scream, my body trembling with unreleased wails. My gums felt as though they were being cut in half as my fangs kept lenghthening. ‘’Earl!’’ Kyle called out as I coughed out blood. I continued screaming, blood running down my cheeks in place of my earlier tears. ‘’Bria, sweetie! I need you to calm down.’’ I shook my head, thrashing out of his hold as blood leaked out my ears. Earl came in, applying some liquid on my forehead as best as he could with my thrashing. My thrashing ceased as my body and eyes became heavy. I gave up and let myself succumb to the exhaustion and influence of the herbs.

“Jo, are you alright?” Jo hears Bran's voice but she cannot manage to reply. She can hear a slight ringing in her left ear. She stares at Bran’s face. He seems to be saying something but she cannot understand anything coherent. All she can hear are slurs and constant ringing. She touches her left ear and feels something wet and sticky there. She inspects her hand… It’s blood! Her left ear or some part close to it is bleeding. Bran helps her sit up and positions her under a nearby tree so she can use the trunk to support her back.

Upon closer inspection, the doctor realised that she was bleeding from her ears as well. Austin noticed his grim expression. "What's wrong?" The doctor never stopped moving his hands while he explained her condition. "She has really bad burns and deep wounds that requires stitching. But these aren't a problem. The worrisome issue is the bleeding from her ears. Her eardrums may be ruptured, but there is a chance that it's not. Let's hope for the best." Austin clenched his fists and felt overwhelming regret for allowing her to leave his side. Before he got consumed in his sadness and guilt, a firm hand was placed on his shoulder. "Let's help in any way we can for now."
