I said and she laid her head back. "There was once an old merchant who had seven children. They we-" I was stopped again as Eva raised her head to look at me. "Okay, okay, I'll say something else. All fairy tales usually have a happy ending, the prince saves the princess from an ogre, a knight in shining armor saves a lady from a hulky brute of a man and so forth. But the world lies, that is not what always happens. Fairy tales rarely have a happy ending. The prince will save the princess and trip down some stairs, fall down and break his neck. Or the lady will live for a few years as a wife to the night and die from child birth. The story tellers never give the actual tale, the sell what appeases to the eye and heart.
