When I finally have her , I will have everything. It is a summer night , my body drips with sweat. I close my princess's diary and place it under my pillow. I take advantage of my body strength and effortlessly climb to the roof. The city lights are visible , however it is far away. I always hated the city - its much to loud and busy. It would be nearly impossible to let loose and relax the way I am now.

Prologue.. The air is so hot that it sticks to your skin like a lover's breath, and the city is scorching in a harsh summer fog. You recently took possession of your first apartment, a chic little retreat that you earned during a competitive internship at a prestigious law firm. You just finished your freshman year, and while it's possible that a favorable connection helped make this opportunity possible, you're here now, and the excitement of it makes your blood boil.

City D was always bustling with a lot of people walking side by side and filled with heavy traffic. However, today, the traffic seemed to be much heavier for there were many cars loudly honking as walking people filled the city. Even the swooshing of the wind and the leaves that danced along with it were moving about busily. It was already June, indicating the start of summer, the hottest season of the year. On this day, there was a certain transparent soul wandering about on the street. Who was this soul?

He was afraid he might die before he could confess his feelings and give me the perfect proposal he had promised me. That was why he kept reminding himself to go to Fall University and confess to me on Richmond Road—the place where he had first met me, and it was true love at first sight. Yet ironically, the repeated reminder was the very reason that caused his memory loss. Now, three years had passed, and I had suffered so much, living with a version of Ethan whose memories were frozen at eighteen years old. No one understood better than him that eighteen-year-old Ethan had been a complete jerk, just wearing a mask of obedience.

Coast City was a large city in Country A. It was a city with four seasons. In spring, flowers bloomed aplenty, covering the city in pastel colours, while winter brought to the city heaps of fluffy white snow. The heavy snow was here for several days already, and even at this time, there were no signs of it stopping. Karen Joy Kyle sat by the window and looked at the snowflakes which were flying under the street lights. Her mind was full of thoughts about Griffin Cooper and his son, Nathaniel.

And then there were Marianne and Elena—inside, carrying the weight of summer storms long past, and secrets that stretched across years like invisible threads. Arya We only have a week left of being at the cabin before we need to go back to our real lives. My book is nearly done! Which is amazing! It usually takes me longer to write, but I think this one was easier because of the experiences I’ve had this summer.

I never realized how much I didn't like living in New York City. There were no stars at night, just window lights from the skyscrapers. There were no secluded beaches I could run to, just the bodegas at every corner. And most of all, there was no Ryder Jake Williams. Period.

Until the room has no choice but to become what she makes it. July brings heat to the city. The specific New York summer heat is different from the Hamptons' heat, more concentrated, the city holding it and adding to it. The penthouse stays cool, and the building's systems are efficient, but I feel it when I walk between buildings in the middle of the day: the specific wall of warmth that is simply what July in Manhattan is.
