It was almost as though we were connected, and I started to realize that the sun burns affected me when she was close by because she was injured. But as she healed, so did it. When the ointment finally worked its wonders by clearing out the wound without leaving a scar behind, the same thing happened to the sun burns I was spotting. Every single one of them disappeared and unspeakable relief flooded me.

Pick up a book and read. I might understand what Adriana sees in them so much. She loses herself completely when she is reading. Just as I touched the back of the book, I felt something hot sting my palm. It burned and that shocked me into moving back. I looked down at my fingers, seeing the reddening skin before it fully heals. That is weird. It makes me want to see more of the book and I pick it up again. This time, I was ready for the pain that I didn’t even blink when it started burning.

I checked it, and to my surprise, it was from Margaret. "It's been forever, Rue, and I still haven't heard any fire trucks. I don't think I can hang on much longer. The pain from the burns is unbearable. I can't even imagine what Bernard went through. "You've been visiting me all this time, but that useless son of mine, Joshua, barely even stops by. I knew something was going on between you two. "I actually looked into it. His first love returned, right? You never really talk to me about your problems, sweetheart. If I'd known earlier, I would've taken care of that jerk for you. I felt so bad for you, Rue.

**** Author Note Thank you for reading my book and sorry the recent updated chapters have not been that good. There was a fire outbreak In my area this week about five of my neighbors were burnt to death. It has been very traumatic. I am finding it hard to write. It was hard to get him to reply, no matter how many messages I sent him.
