The Perfect Thief

The Perfect Thief

I found him so cool whenever he shared his faith with the whole family. I marched right up to the bays and handed my card to a teenager cashier at the counter to make a purchase. She was wearing a cute and tiny hairpin on the left side of her ear, her above shoulder-length black hair made her even more gorgeous. "Hello, Miss Astrid! It is good to see you here again." She cheerfully greeted me while placing my books on a paper bag printed with the name of the shop. "Hello, Marianne! Are you done with your class already?" She is the daughter of Mrs. Williams, who owned this bookstore.

The Hockey Playboy's Plus Size Obsession

The Hockey Playboy's Plus Size Obsession

The bookstore was quiet, the only sound was the soft, rhythmic patter of rain against the windows of The Sunshine Shelf. It had been two years—two full, glorious years—since their son, Leo, had come into the world, and in that time, the bookstore had grown from a passion project into the heart of the neighborhood. Mila stood at the checkout counter, her fingers absently tracing the edge of an old, leather-bound volume. Her stomach was rounding out with the third pregnancy, a heavy, familiar weight that made her move a little slower, a little more deliberately.

Ibiere Toluwa
Hello I think I'm loving this chapter at the moment, I love hockey romance novels. They're meant for each other, why can't Mila see Jax feelings. but I think it's because of her asshole father. more chapters please
onajourney
I'm enjoying this book but got a little confused around chapter 17/18, it's like it's looping back to earlier chapters with a slight twist. Like one min Jax is helping his mentee then he and Mila back at the dive bar to start the "supervising"/"babysitting"

Chasing Sunlight

Chasing Sunlight

I’m not a gloomy person by any means, but when everyone thinks of you as this ray of sunshine, some high expectations come along with that, and I don’t like to disappoint people. Why do I have to be a ray of sunshine for everyone? When do I get to just be Aurora Williams: human being? _______________ Authors Note: To anyone familiar with my previous work, I will go ahead and tell you that this is nothing like what I've done before. I've written this book to challenge myself as a writer. Also, there are some rape scenes that may trigger some readers, so keep that in mind before you begin reading. The book is yet to be edited so some slight adjustments will be made in the future for redundanci

Daddy's Lessons in Pleasure - A Collection

Daddy's Lessons in Pleasure - A Collection

Chapter 1:(Ethan’s POV) The bookshop appeared on my street seemingly overnight, sandwiched between a dry cleaner and a closed Thai restaurant. "Sanctuary Books & Coffee" in simple gold lettering on the window, the kind of place that looked like it had always been there and you’d just never noticed. I wandered in on a Tuesday, drawn by the smell of old paper and espresso. The owner was shelving philosophy texts. He was tall, dark hair touched with silver at the temples, maybe early forties. He looked up when the bell chimed, and his smile was warm but careful, like someone who’d learned to measure his expressions.

My Ex Fiancé wants be back, but my contract husband owns me

My Ex Fiancé wants be back, but my contract husband owns me

A cat sat on the steps of the bookstore, watching us with sleepy eyes. Asher held the red door open. I walked through. The interior was warm and small, but it was perfect. I loved how serene it felt. There were only six tables, each one covered in a white cloth, each one lit by a single candle. The walls were brick, old, covered in black and white photographs of people I didn't recognize. A woman with grey hair and kind eyes greeted us at the door. "Signor Sinclair," she said, kissing both his cheeks. "It's been too long."

Knocked Up By My Brother’s Best Friend

Knocked Up By My Brother’s Best Friend

I slipped off my shoes and massaged my feet for a few minutes, thinking about the shift in me that had me liking the banter between us again. I’d hear the ding on the front door or the bell at the register if a customer needed anything, so I decided to check email the Sparks Bookstore email account for inquiries or replies. Sometimes I sent proposals to authors, asking them to do a book signing at our store. The buzz of a celebrity author stopping by the store might bring in some more business, especially if they also read an excerpt of their work. As I read through the emails, replying to inquiries about book clubs and story time for children, I stumbled upon a reply from Kristen Stein, the

My Mafia Husband Thought, I Was Innocent

My Mafia Husband Thought, I Was Innocent

CATALINA’S PERSPECTIVE LIBRERIA FIORETTA Morning The morning was quiet. Too quiet. Sunlight spilled through the bookstore’s tall windows, catching the dust motes in golden shimmer. I’d been stacking the latest shipment of books on the oak table, the smell of fresh paper comforting, almost enough to let me pretend the world outside wasn’t crawling with vipers. The bell above the door rang violently, more slammed open than gently pushed. Nico stormed in like a bullet that had missed its mark but refused to stop moving. His coat was half open, hair wild from the morning wind, his grin nowhere to be seen.
