I’m used to Jonathan’s crazy inventions, but that’s different from all this. I am not used to the idea of there being werewolves and vampires. If they are real, what the fuck else is? Fairies? Leprechauns? Genies? Legit, how much of Supernatural is real? Are there hunters out there like Sam and Dean? Is there a God? If he’s anything like Chuck, it would explain why the world is fucked.

I didn't want to have breakfast for fear of running into Darick. The door creaked as I turned the knob and entered the library. Dust particles still floated in the air, and I could barely see with the dimly lit chancellors. I walked down the aisles, holding my nose as the smell of musk filled my nostrils. I skimmed my fingers over the hardback books. Hmm, ‘Chronicles of the Blood Brothers.’ No, I don't want to read about the Blood Brothers' history. What's this? ‘Understanding your Supernatural Abilities.’

"I have a theory." Draco said as he flipped the pages of the old book. It was called the book of supernaturals. A small leather bound book that had information on every recorded supernatural. Gabriel had called Draco the minute he left Elliot who had been thoroughly confused by his request. Draco had come over quickly and Gabriel ushered him into his study and locked the door behind them. It was still early, too early for Lori to wake up so he knew they had a few more minutes to themselves before she woke up.

For a moment, he just stood there with furrowed brows, his orbs fixed on the cover. “Zombies are Real?” he read, tapping his fingers on the book. Taking a deep breath, he averted his gaze to the books seated next to them. Using his free hand, he grabbed one. “Supernatural Being.” With his lips curled, he scanned them from back-to-front cover. Immediately after, his mind drifted without prior warning. Something about the titles probed his guts. He just didn’t know what. Should he believe these zombies and supernatural beings were true? If not, how could he explain what he’d seen the night before?

It's been two weeks since I arrived, and I must say, these past few days have been nothing short of interesting. Alex and I have gotten really close; he took me on a tour of the town, which was informative and eye-opening. I discovered that this place is home to several supernatural creatures besides werewolves, such as lycans, chimeras, vampires, witches, fairies, and many more that I can't recall.

“Alright, do you want to watch a movie?” At first, I consider feigning exhaustion, but I quickly change my mind. There are still questions about the supernatural world swirling through my mind, and it would be nice to hang out with him. My brain shies away from calling this a date, even though my heart quakes at the thought. “Actually, I’d like to learn more about the Supernatural world─our world, if that’s okay?” Rowan shrugs his shoulders. “Yeah, sure. You know I have a book about supernaturals that this guy at a blood bank gave me when I was living in the streets. When I met Khail, he didn’t know what he was, so I lent it to him.”

I save the file and shut down my computer. Maybe some mundane screen time will help clear my mind. Supernatural is on rerun. It has been some time since I last watched the Winchester boys save the world. Watching their antics always helped me simplify my own problems. I let myself be driven by the story until the episode ends. Without looking, I reach for the remote control. My hand catches something that feels like paper.
