Survival In The Parallel World

Survival In The Parallel World

There was no mercy, no kindness in his eyes, it was like staring into the bottom of a well, making Bob take a step backwards in fear. Even though Bob knew he was way stronger than Tsao, his instincts reacted to an invisible threat that came from him. He couldn't believe it was the same mild tempered Tsao who would endure Luke's tantrums, who would cook for everyone with a smile, the same Tsao that would put his life in danger for the sake of others. People were starting to gather in great numbers near Tsao's campfire, despite everyone's efforts, only about half of the people who came survived. Rudd took it upon himself to lead the people now that most hunters were either dead or injured.

The Murder Pal

The Murder Pal

I couldn't see his facial features clearly, but that blue hoodie really did look exactly like my son's. I crouched down and was about to turn him over, but the moment my fingers touched his shoulder, he suddenly moved. "Mmph. It hurts!" The groan was very soft. It almost sounded like a kitten's cry. He was alive. My heart jolted. I snapped my head up. "He's alive! Call emergency services right now!" Esther froze for a second. Her expression went blank. "He's alive?" "Yes! Hurry and call emergency services!" I fumbled for my phone, but Esther didn't move.

PATIENT ZERO -The lone survivor

PATIENT ZERO -The lone survivor

For a long minute, the ocean was a chaotic, boiling nightmare of displaced water and falling stone. When the boiling surf finally calmed, Musa breached the surface, gasping for air. A dozen yards away, Jabari broke the surface, his skin back to its normal grey tone, holding a sputtering, coughing Neema by the collar of her vest. They treaded water, looking up at the coastline. The cliff was gone. The lighthouse was a smoking, glassy crater. "Well," Musa breathed, spitting a mouthful of saltwater. "I'd say the UN definitely knows we were here."

Survival Has a Memory

Survival Has a Memory

Then, she added, "We're all in this together. A downpour's coming, so we should find some supplies." She crouched before me and held my left hand. Her face was a mask of understanding. "It's all my fault. I'll help you up." I slapped her hand away in disgust. She let out a gasp and fell backward. Everyone huddled around her and shot me with dark glares. I stood up and put on a sneer. Yes, a downpour was coming. In my previous life, these asshats had only survived those two days by the skin of their teeth. I busted my ass setting up traps in the sea for a catch. The waves roared and crashed like a neverending tide. One time, they nearly swept me into the sea.

I Survived Prison to Expose the Fake Heir

I Survived Prison to Expose the Fake Heir

To get me out of the way for Simon Luther, the man who steals my position as heir of the Luther family, the three young women my dad took in as children and raised alongside me work together to send me to prison. "Once you get out of jail, one of us will marry you—but on one condition. You'd better take this secret to the grave." To stop me from revealing the truth, the three women even fed me a drug that rendered me mute. As the years go by, the endless and inhumane torment I endure in prison slowly destroys what feelings and affection I have for the three women I once considered my sisters. When we meet again, I watch impassively as the three of them fight to win the auction that gives

Sold as the Alpha King's Breeder

Sold as the Alpha King's Breeder

I smiled as I watched a young boy hold up a starfish, marveling at the creature for a moment before gently setting it back into the water. So many children lived here now. The entire village was buzzing with noise and laughter. My heart squeezed as I watched Alison, who was now heavily rounded out and in the final days of her pregnancy, walking carefully along the tidepools, a group of young ones following her as she led the group closer to where the sea was breaking against the beach. Suntra was the new home of the survivors of Dianny, most of them children.

I adore this series. I had the privilege to read it a couple years ago on a different platform. It’s incredibly detailed with mostly likeable characters. Plus you get to follow the journey as they grow and develop over several stories. It’s well worth the time invested!

The order of the book is a little confusing, started out with a story about Ethan and Rosalie and mid way through it's like the story has jumped back to were the beginning should be. I love the story but this kinda has me scratching my head .

What Survived The Burn

What Survived The Burn

Then he raised his voice, letting it carry over the crowd, through the minds and ears of every broken wolf still standing: “Anyone who is able to move—check on your neighbor. If you were hit with wolfsbane, move toward this side, here by the oak line. If you can walk, you can help. Go now.” Movement rippled through the battered survivors. Slow, unsteady, but determined. Simon turned back to Doc. “Do what you can. Loria will be here soon.” “I’ll keep them alive,” she promised. He nodded once and stepped back, eyes scanning the horizon. Our Luna was coming. And with her—hope. Or vengeance. Maybe both.

Surviving my pack

Surviving my pack

I must of dozed off at some point after talking to Dominic after leaving Deepridge pack territory because my mate was now gently shaking my knee to inform me we were home safely in Palecrest territory. My mate. The words sounded almost too good to be true. Looking over at Dominic though I was forced to realize this was my reality now. I would enjoy this for now but just because I was bannished from Deepridge didn't mean I didn't still have things to take care of there.
