Despite her attempt to even listen and understand in case the answer would be the password to leave when all this turtore was done, she just couldn't concentrate. But finally, the white Figure had found a Queen but the Queen was Lady Kestra?

Chains. Blades. Fire. A crown forced from her skull. A hand tearing something glowing from her chest. Her heart. Lyra staggered. “They ripped it out.” “Yes.” “To stop you.” “To steal me.” The queen rose from the throne. Bare feet against bone. “They took my kingdom. My crown. My body.” She stopped inches from Lyra. “And hid my heart inside the last surviving bloodline.” Lyra’s chest burned. The heartbeat inside her ribs shook harder.

It felt real. Too real. The cold wind on my face. The hard shove on my back. The wave as I fell. The sickening drop. The water slamming into me like concrete. A memory. I gasped as the pieces clicked together. The queen didn’t jump off that cliff like everyone said. She’d been pushed. Lured into the woods in the middle of the night by a maid who fed her lies about Nicholas wanting to see her, wanting to explain, wanting to surprise her. She’d followed—because she loved him.

I tried to free myself from the rope which was tied around my hands but I couldn't, I felt like a lost child, desperately searching for a way back to safety. Thoughts raced through my mind, questioning why I always seemed to find myself in these circumstances. Was it some sort of curse? Or was there something deeper at play? I couldn't help but wonder if there was something about me that attracted these unfortunate events. First, it was me losing my memory then I was kidnapped by King Derek and now I am in a strange room with my hands tied and no sign of my baby.

She looks at me, "You used to visit sometimes, don't you remember?" I shake my head, "If I did, I wouldn't be asking questions." "I was the Queen's maid and Henry's nanny." My jaw drops and that's when the memories come flooding back, the gifts, the trips to the castle and the little brunette boy, which used to chase me around the castle and play hide and look with, it's Henry. "You remember now?" I nod, "Yes." Henry walks into the living room and tells Nana that the car is waiting outside, she kisses his cheek goodbye and gives Henry a hug and leaves. The sudden realization that I'm left with the king hits me, and I am nervous like sweaty palms nervous.

But then, watching the same people over and over again gets boring overtime. Diving into the book, I reopen to one of my favorite parts of the lycan battles. It is the chapter where the lycan king was brought to his knees by the queen, and makes she him beg her for his life. He wasn’t expecting her, or that she would even do something like that. It is what makes me like it more. I feel like I relate to the queen well. She has always been undermined and underrated, then she wound her full potential and—

I'm starting a new novel! I'm so excited to share with you guys the other novel I've been plotting lately. Queen Of Ace What is this novel all about? =If you haven't read my first novel, His Fragile Flame, I uploaded in this app, this is only "a part" of it but can be read as "stand-alone". This story was written in different character's perspective and her back story before His Fragile Flame. You don't have to read the first book to understand this novel, and I think it's better if you read this before that because HFF has spoilers.

She says with a small giggle. "You will stop second guessing your abilities to lead and you will rule right beside your mate. That is an order." She jokes with a hint of seriousness. I nod and smile up at her. She holds her hand out and a golden staff apears. I immediately bow down and she dubs me Queen of werewolves by tapping the staff on both of my shoulders. "I now dub thee Mackenzie Roseline Lathen as Queen of werewolves and Luna of the royal pack. Do you accept?" She asks and I look up at her.

The little girl was in my grasp, and soon my mother would look at me not with contempt or fury but with pride. The thought burned so hot I nearly staggered under the weight of it. But beneath the heat, another current tugged at me. Cold. Relentless. Fear. Because I knew—knew—that if the Queen discovered me with her daughter, she would unleash a storm upon me the likes of which I might never survive. The Queen was no ordinary woman. She was a legend wrapped in flesh. To steal from her… to steal this from her… was madness. But hadn’t I lived in madness all my life?

When his assistant presented the list of new hires, he immediately recognized Sarah as the little woman from that night! When he’d woken up that morning to find the bed empty, the little woman had already vanished without a trace. He realized instantly: he’d been played by that little woman!
