Marcus' pov Saturday 21st December 2019 ************************************* I'm finally going home today. The doctors are happy enough that I won't try to kill myself if I go home. Nathan and Cole won't leave me alone anymore anyways, so they don't have to worry. My hands are still shaking and I still can't pick up heavy things but the physiotherapist is happy with my exercises. I have to touch my thumb to each of my fingers but I find even that difficult. I know what I want my hands to do but they just don't listen fast enough or strong enough. I keep getting frustrated but Nathan or Cole would calm me down and manually move my fingers like Jamal said to do.

I looked at Takumi's bandaged fingers. "Your right finger was cut by the shard of the lens glass, right?" Takumi touched his finger, "I cut my finger when I learned to cook," Takumi said quietly. "You're lying. If you cut your finger with a knife, it should be the finger on your left hand, not your right hand, unless you're a left-handed person. However, in fact you're not right-handed. Mirra rose and placed her hands against the trunk. “Easy, old one,” she whispered, voice trembling. “I’m here.” She poured her energy into the oak, threads of green light slipping from her fingertips, seeking to soothe the ancient roots. The poor man was in pain, and it was my fault.

He was utterly broken. “I’m sorry for causing you too much pain. I didn’t mean to destroy your relationship with Nikky.” I rushed to apologize without giving him a minute to get a hold of himself. Dr. Dane said nothing. Instead, he dropped to his chair, his hand met his face, and he wiped it with his palm, trying to act like the man he was.
