Everyone's eyes were on me. I let the paint slide down my cheek and looked Judd straight in the eye. "Do you honestly think I'm so despicable?" He stiffened and fell silent for a beat before Megan stumbled in his arms and piteously whimpered, "Judd, my ankle hurts so much…" The hesitation in his eyes immediately vanished, replaced by irritation and disgust at having nearly been swayed. He lifted Megan into his arms and coldly said, "If possible, I'd rather believe you're not. You'd better watch out."

Her voice, once sharp and panicked, dissolved into a soft pleading tone, “Honey, you completely misunderstood me. I was just terrified for us, my love. The thought of seeing you stripped of the status you worked so hard for broke my heart for a second. I don't care about the money for myself, but I want you to have the world. I can’t bear the thought of those company shares going to your half-brother, Elias. Darling, don't be angry with me for being a frightened girl for one minute. Please believe me, I love you with all my heart. I will…….”

I shredded the iceroot Morpheus had sent me and threw that in the bin too. I was almost dead anyway. My things would only be an eyesore to them. Last was a picture of just Morpheus and me. I stared at it, blank, and then, without a second thought, binned it as well. After all that, it was as if every drop of strength had drained from my body. I collapsed onto the nest. A savage pain ripped through my belly. The coppery taste of blood rose in my throat. I coughed violently, spraying blood across the sheets in a great dark bloom.

Her eyes were already filled with tears, each burning drop slowly rolled down her cheek, then shattered into hundreds of thousands of tiny pieces. In her eyes gradually burned a kind of emotion, like lava, burning to the extreme. It was like a pan of oil that was boiling hot. Her tears gradually stopped falling, not flying down. Now, only a patch of fog remained where the waves of the eyes glittered. There was a fierce determination in Oralie's eyes.

My sight became hazy, clouded by tears and the reflection of the sun dancing on the polished marble beneath my feet. As the pain deepened, tears rained down my face, flowing freely like a torrential downpour. It felt as if a dam, long sealed, had suddenly burst open, releasing a flood of pent-up emotions. They were tears shed for the irreplaceable loss of my Grandpa. And, most importantly, they were tears of anguish over the futile attachment to someone that never truly belonged to me in the first place.

It opened up on my floor and as soon as I was in my bedroom, I slammed the door shut and leaned against it; breathing hard. I managed to move to the bed, overwhelmed by a whirlwind of emotions. My heart felt heavy, burdened by the weight of sadness. As tears welled up in my eyes, a deep ache settled in my chest. I could feel the first tear escape, tracing a path down my cheek. It was warm against my skin, a tangible manifestation of the pain within. Soon, more tears followed, forming a steady stream that cascaded down my face. Each tear carried my moment of vulnerability and a release of pent-up emotions.

Sleep tight. I bit my tongue, trying to hold the tears that threatened to leave my eyes. And that’s when I can’t hold them back. First, one small crystal bead escapes from my right eye. I can feel the warmth, sliding down my cheek, and rolling off my chin. Until my eyes flood with them, coming like a rainfall. There was a rawness as I cried, like the pain was still an open wound. Maybe Stevie Ray Vaughan was right when he said, “The way people come into your life when you need them, it's wonderful and it happens in so many ways. It's like having an angel. Somebody comes along and helps you get right.”

More dramatic. I bowed my head and I saw my shadow underneath. I didn't know I'm crying already, I just realized it when I felt a hot liquid pooling the corner of my eyes, blurring my vision. I witnessed how my teardrops fell right on the ground, between my spread toes. My chest was heavy and all I could think is to cry and cry until my eyes get tired. Aside from the pouring rain, this set-up; no crowd, peace and quiet atmosphere and calm surrounding. This is another perfect place to cry. Atleast, no one can see me crying and no one can pity me.

I closed my eyes as our eyes met. He's so gorgeous. A glimpse was enough for me to say that about him. "Why won't you look at me?" Theo asked. He sounded sad and I felt bad. "I feel like crying" I told him with my eyes still closed. "Why?" he asked sounding confused. I bit my lower lip. "Whenever I see you...my heart flutters and tears start coming out my eyes for an unknown reason. I just know I'm going to cry if I see you. Please don't be offended" I confessed.

His mother came out, and was pretending to be brave. I could tell, that she had been crying, who would hear such a thing and not cry, she saw tears In my eyes and started blinking her eyes in a bit to send back her own tears, that had started forming bubbles around her eyes, but off course, when the heart is too heavy with heart ache, whatever type, it may not be able to hold itself back, it will pour it all out, through that little passage, which happens to be the eyes.
