A tearing pain throbbed beneath her, where streaks of dark blood stained her pale thighs. Phoebe stumbled into the rain, her heart sinking slowly into an abyss. She stood alone in the downpour, the heavy rain soaking her frail body. Covering her face, she gradually sank to the ground, tears streaming down in desperate despair. Her body ached, her heart ached, and she cried helplessly, a wretched mess. This was the saddest she had ever felt, fighting back tears that threatened to spill.

I could feel the rain on my face but I could also feel the tears dancing with them down my cheeks. I prayed for the pain. I prayed for my heart.

She scrutinized me, her lower lip slightly quivering, thinking I couldn't answer that. I leaned in closer until my breath brushed against her skin, and her intoxicating scent filled my nostrils, enveloping me. My voice took on a rough, seductive edge as I murmured, "Because when it rains, you find beauty in sadness. Some people feel melancholy when it rains. But not you. For you, rain brings joy and a sense of being alive. The sound of rain comforts and calms you. It reminds you that a little rain is necessary for flowers to bloom. When life gets tough, you always think of rain. It's your reminder that 'this too shall pass.' You live by the motto 'you don’t get rainbows without a little rain

I cry for them. The warm golden glow begins to grow out of Trev as more of my tears fall on him. And it dawns on me. My tears, they can heal. My body, my mind, my soul, can harm and kill in an instant. But, my tears, can save the wounded, mend the broken. My empathy can be the salvation. I can just as easily kill as I can cure. So, I cry some more. The more I cry, the faster his wounds stitch back together. Color returns to his face and his eyes open to look at me as if I am an angel. Trev reaches a hand up and holds my face as my tears keep streaming down.

I was freezing cold, but my face was hot from the tears that streaked down my eyes. I sat there for a moment, catching my breath and trying to calm myself down. But the emotions were overwhelming, and I found myself crying harder than I ever had before. My tears mixed with the rain that had followed me inside, forming puddles on the floor. As I wiped the tears from my face with my left hand, I realized that I had never felt so alone in my entire life. I had always thought that I had it all figured out, that I had the perfect life. By the time Kenneth Ford finally showed up, I was already soaked through. He wasn't alone. There was a girl under his umbrella, and at well over six feet tall, Kenneth had enough height to shield her almost completely from the rain. He'd tilted the umbrella so far toward her that one side of his shirt was getting drenched, but he didn't seem to care. He just smiled and let her stay tucked safely beside him. A small slither of happiness wraps around my heart, and yet I still can't stop the tears from falling. "Thank you." He whispers out, like those two words were the hardest thing to ever say in his life. Shock overcomes my body as my head shoots up to look at him, my vision slightly blurry from the tears. We just stare at one another no words between the two of us. As he wipes my tears from my cheeks, Alessandro's palm rises up to cup my cheek, warmth soaking into the skin there. His steely eyes meet my green ones. Time appears to have stopped, leaving only Alessandro and myself.

Haya's pov I bit my tongue, trying to hold the tears that threatened to leave my eyes and that's when I can't hold them back. first, one small crystal bead escaped from my right eye, I can feel the warmth sliding down my cheeks and rolling off my chin, then another and another until my eyes flooded with them, coming like a rainfall. My brother walked towards me that's when I burst out into tears because I couldn't take it any more, I sobbed into his chest clutching his jacket and he held me in silence.
