Smarter.” Riven slammed his fist on the table. “I don’t care! The last Silverfang dies tonight. Bloodline ends. City’s mine.” Kael’s rage went cold. He signaled—go. Doors kicked in hard. Blackfur laughed as it got closer knowing that just a claw would be enough to send Xavier’s wolf flying across the gathering and cracking all the bones in his body upon impact on the floor. “This is madness,” Jimin muttered. “Stop! Xavier Stop!” Silver ran on with purpose, not even reducing his pace a bit. “Ready father?” Silver muttered. “Always ready,” the voice replied in his head. Just a few meters away from Blackfur, Silver dove high in the air. Blackfur stood still, smiling, waiting and calculating for the little wolf to be close enough to the ground for him to bat away, but he did not expect what was coming next. “Now!” Silver roared.

He waited for me to fill him in. “His name is Cedar.” I looked at him. He looked so scared. “I can’t leave him.” I said. I wouldn’t leave him so scared. Miles nodded his head. He didn't fight with me about it. We made it back to the living room. He motioned for me to sit down. I took a seat on the plush couch and hoisted Cedar to sit beside me. “Master Cadogen says you will be staying with us until the annual Silver Gala. I need to know a few things about you to help the night go easier. First thing, do you have any formal education?” I swallowed hard.
