The Billionaire's Debt-Bride

The Billionaire's Debt-Bride

The "Appalachia Crystal" was more than a geological patch; it was a living monument. In the days following the stabilization of the West Virginia void, the reports coming into the Vermont homestead were staggering. The ground hadn't just stopped shaking; it had begun to sing. People living above the hollow reported a soft, indigo glow emanating from the soil at night, and the local Scriptoriums were recording the cleanest, most resonant "Living Script" in history.

Wickedly Twisted

Wickedly Twisted

"It's been a whirlwind few weeks." "I bet it has! Well, I'm sort of calling to make things more complicated, but in a good way." I stand, walk to the windows, and sip my coffee. "Complicated? I'm not sure I like the sound of that." "Good way! I promise." She laughs, light and bright. "Okay, so here's the deal. There's a climbing company called Appalachian Peaks—" "I know them," I say automatically, looking over my shoulder. "I'm staring at a pair of their shoes right now."

Shadow Moon

Shadow Moon

Her striking white hair, a mark of her lineage, was a source of pride, not something to be concealed. Nestled in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, Silver Cove was a quaint town where time seemed to stand still. The town was surrounded by lush greenery, with rolling hills and babbling brooks that meandered through the countryside. The main street was lined with charming storefronts, their facades adorned with colorful flower baskets that overflowed with blooms in the springtime.

Blood Thirsty Luna

Blood Thirsty Luna

None of us needed to look back to know that it was Chase. “Are you okay?” Luca asked me. His finger went under my chin and turned my head towards him. “Yeah, I was just thinking I don’t actually know where your pack is located.” “Oh.” Luca seemed surprised by this. “We are in the Appalachian Mountain range.” That made my heart flutter a little. “Which part?” “We are at the highest point in North Carolina.” He knew what I was asking. That wasn’t far from where my parent’s pack was. Still, Alpha Dylan’s pack was in the Rocky Mountains. This means I was going back across the U.S. Exactly where I had run from.

Wildflowers

Wildflowers

I left the door flap to my tent open so every now and then a small light breeze comes to cool me down. The air is fresh up here in the Boonies, I’ve missed being in the mountains and I didn’t even realized it until I got here. I didn’t grow up around this area of the Appalachian mountains, but I did grow up in Blue Ridge which is apart of the Appalachians but we’re not very close to it. By the time I open my eyes, the sun has gone down behind the trees, making the sky an impeccable orange color while the ground is shadowed with a blue hue.

Whispers of Sikar

Whispers of Sikar

The five of them hiked through the trees and straight as they could across the ridgeline. The last of the morning fog had lifted by the time they stepped back out of the trees and the great hills of the south became visible. They called them the Dividing Mountains; an enormous, rugged mountain range that stretched east to west for many miles, separating the northern territories of Ravenna from the south. It was not often that Lyda and Adea came this far south to get a good view of the mountains, at least not on their own, and Adea was soaking it all in.

Chaitali: The Saga begins

Chaitali: The Saga begins

maybe six? Appy Lane is cocooned in the lap of the mighty Hanuman Hills. The hills are spread over acres of southern region that passes through Chaitali from the eastern side and Ahi-Empire from the opposite. It was a kind of border—segregation between both races. It is a mighty natural marvel that both races wanted to flaunt as theirs. For serpents, it used to have religious significance. For werewolves, it was a treasure of herbs, spices, and wood for international trade—in short, the game of war commenced.

The Broken Warrior's Daughter

The Broken Warrior's Daughter

“She said there was nothing. No buildings, no flowing water, no power lines, nothing but forest.” “Based on what Derrick is saying, they think they’re headed north. Any place north from our location that meets that description?” I ask. It’s quiet for a few minutes. “There’s nothing directly north, but there is a forest on the western side of the Appalachian Mountains that meets these parameters.” “Send us the coordinates. We’re on our way.” Liam and I start back to our cars as the text from my father pings on my phone. I look at Liam. “Got it?”

Home to the Mountains

Home to the Mountains

I'm not so pissed off that I can't admit she has a nice rack, but I am a bit vindictive. Me: Nice rack, but this isn't a family camping trip. I'm his girlfriend of a year now, but don't worry, after this he's all yours. I turn the phone off, resisting the urge to smash it to the ground, and instead, grab my jacket to get ready for a walk. It's late April here in West Virginia, and being in the mountains, it's even cooler. Though, it's great camping weather and perfect for a couple who wants to snuggle up to stay warm.
