The Awakening Book 2 Novels & Stories

Chapter 20 The Awakening Fiona’s POV The first thing I became aware of was the silence—an all-encompassing, heavy silence that pressed down on me like a suffocating blanket. It was the kind of silence that made you question whether you were truly alive, or if you had slipped into some unknown void where nothing existed except your thoughts.

It’s like every time I had some time to think, my mind would go to how we kissed, and it would make me want it more. He’s talking to Ariana by the pool now, and she has her hand on his harm. She’s been laughing since she arrived, and Matteo is not that funny. ---- I am currently working on finishing the first act, aka this book; Awakening. The Awakening Sage had walked the darkened path toward her house just like the last night, but this time she was going to be ready for anything. She made sure she had her gun in her back holster that her dad had bought her. At her hip, she had a great set of butterfly knives that had belonged to her mother. The closer she got she heard someone in her house. But when she had gotten closer, she peaked in the window and found a pale blond meth head throwing her old, one of a kind books around the room.

Everything turns black. Fluttering of wings is the first sound her ears comprehend. She feels afraid for some reason, but doesn't remember why. Wind is whipping her hair around her face, but she can't see anything. Darkness is crowding her vision; she can't tell if her eyes are even open, because her mind can't focus. All she is sure of is that her body feels ice cold. So cold, her whole body goes numb. The only sensation her mind can process is a tingling working its way through her body. The only reason she is aware, is how it feels like scorching fire flowing through her. It traces its way around her heart, down to her toes, and back up to her heart, only to trace its way down her other l

Chapter 38 Alex's POV In the realm between dreams and reality, Alex slowly emerged from the depths of unconsciousness. The gradual return of sensation began with a tingling awareness in his fingers, like tendrils of life creeping up his limbs. A dull ache resonated through his head, as if his mind were struggling to break free from the shackles of slumber. As he fought against the weight of darkness, the world around him remained shrouded in obscurity. His breath came out in short pants, anything more would make one of his broken ribs puncture his lungs. Turning into a wolf was sheer agony for him, but it didn't hold a candle to the unearthly pain he was feeling on every part of his body.

No, the was only the soft breathing of deep sleep from upstairs and the shallow gasps of our housekeeper weeping silently-she must be getting soft in her old age-and the slow swing of something heavy through the air. Or maybe father had finally managed to fix the grandfather clock that had been sitting in the room for as long as I can remember. I decided on see the library one last time before the slaughter continued. Perhaps I’d even keep my favourite book of poems, a reminder of where I’d come from and what had been done to me by the people I thought I could trust, by t

“Queen – “ she continues to talk to me , but her voice becomes muffled. Her face begins to blur , which makes my head hurt. I feel her constantly tapping lightly on my cheek , how ever her small taps are proven that they are not bothersome as I feel my eyes slowly closing. Three days later I hear some one sniffing , as if they have been crying – it starts of as very faint at first but , as my hearing develops over time , I hear the person crying near me.
