The crack spread, branching over the full moon. “The Awakening,” Marcus gasped, leaning in the doorway. It can't be. “What's the Awakening?” Tamara asked. “The end,” Lilith said softly. “Only the beginning, depending on who wins.”

Chapter 1: The Awakening In the heart of the ancient forest of Eldoria, where shadows danced among the towering trees, a young woman stirred from a deep slumber. Her name was Elara, and she had been lost in a dreamless sleep for centuries, trapped within the embrace of an enchanted grove. As she opened her eyes, the world around her seemed both familiar and foreign. The air was thick with the scent of moss and magic, and the soft glow of twilight filtered through the canopy above. Memories flooded back to her, fragmented and elusive, like shards of a broken mirror.

However, I don’t hear the shower going. My feet slowly take one step after another as my eyes lock on the door. Unfortunately, I can’t say anything. Every time I open my mouth to talk, nothing comes out. This doesn’t stop my wolf, who is now howling in pure delight inside my head while jumping around. With each step closer to the bathroom, the alluring coffee scent gets stronger and stronger. As I finally reach the door, my mate’s scent has my mind lost in the clouds. However, that doesn’t compare to the sight that suddenly comes into view when the bathroom door opens.

She doesn't even realize that it's already three in the morning. A man is lying on the ground, naked. He is covered in blood, and at first, she thought that the man might have been injured. But, when she finally approach the man, that's when she realized that the blood was not his. Even his mouth has fresh blood dripping from its side. "Oh, my God!" She whispered before taking a step back. The man is starting to wake up, and her instinct told her to run. So she did, as fast as she could.

It was like her body was going through a whole range of emotions while she slept. I obviously dropped off at some point and when I woke, I was alone in the bed. I could hear the shower going and Aria was humming a tune. I hadn’t heard her do that in so long. Opening the bathroom door, I watched her run her hands over her body, soaping herself up. Get in with her! Atlas begs but I just wanted to watch her. She slowly turns around, washing her hair. She sees me, lets out a scream and falls, taking the shower curtain with her. I couldn't help but laugh.
