Chapter: 71 ****** ALTAIR: Hours passed, and the sun began to dip below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple. The camp would soon be buzzing with night activities, but I couldn’t find the strength to return. I took a deep breath, allowing the quiet of the trees to envelop me, seeking comfort in the solitude. Just as I was about to rise and head back, I heard a rustle behind me. My heart raced, and I turned to see Talon stepping through the trees. He looked different, his expression serious, and for a moment, I felt a flicker of hope ignite within me.

I mean, he just can't kill a wolf unless he has. I stopped on my tracks when realization hits me. That guy. H-he has a gun. I immediately turned around and saw how the guy loaded his gun and pointed it at Hunter's wolf, who the latter was just staring at me from afar. His eyes wordlessly telling me to don't go. Chapter 5- Grace The truck finally comes to a stop and I lifted my head, the sky slightly darker as the sun begins to set. By the smell of many wolves congregating together that we have finally reached our destination, The Run. The engine is turned off as I watch wolves walk by the truck. Some call out to their friends while others walked over and peer into the back where the cages that held me and Amelia in to see if we are good mate candidates. I can hear the she-wolf beside me growl at those curious to see who were held and couldn’t help but roll my eyes.

I'm embarrassed when I see the squirrel's eyes staring back at me. - I can explain. - I transform into a human and approach the pet. He was bleeding and I was devastated to hurt something so helpless. - I'll take care of you - I say and pick him up carefully. - Would you know of a nice place to go? I think so, there must be several. - I look at the wound I gave him with my claws, feeling guilty. ~ Burn it, it will heal - Says Seven ~ Good idea. - I say and I'm lost - How would I get fire? - She is quiet.

Nodding my head, I pulled Loid's shirt off of my body and let Carie take over. Once I had shifted, Carie raised her head toward the sky and howled as loudly as she could. Her howl shook the ground. Through Carie's eyes, I could see the darkness luring around, and the chains that were keeping my pack from fighting back. Those chains broke and Carie's loud howls pierced through the darkness that was luring around the pack.

The Alpha of this land had entered the boundary. Elizabeth felt an intense force pressing on her from all sides, making her body uneasy. Suddenly, it reached her neck and lungs, causing her to gasp. Desperate, she pleaded with Henry to stop, unable to breathe. She quickly dismounted from Alpha's wolf back and experienced a severe tightness, leading to her vomiting all the evening foods she had eaten at the feral's cabin.

“Just let go, and I’ll be right there with you.” She calmed slightly as he held her. The first time was always the worst and she was so much older than she should have been for a first timer. He felt his own wolf clawing its way to the front of his mind rushing to be freed. He could feel her letting go, letting the beast with in her move forward. Her wolf was violently making its appearance, with one more blood curtailing scream Tifs eyes opened wide as the wolf broke free of the human form that held her. A beautiful red and silver creature, the bright green eyes glinting in the moon lit snow covered night. His black wolf hushing to meet hers. Siron had only one thought rush through his mind

I immediately put it to my ear and tried calling Aleks' number which I had memorized in my head, but the call never went through. I sighed dejectedly and then tried calling 911. It started ringing but the call hung up abruptly. I sighed again and went out where the wolves were waiting for me. They looked at me with a strange intelligence shining in their eyes. Maybe they could understand me. "Food now?" I asked. They remained sitting for a few seconds then stood up together and ran into the woods. I went back into the caravan, trying to see if there was anything good in there.
