Chapter 5- Grace The truck finally comes to a stop and I lifted my head, the sky slightly darker as the sun begins to set. By the smell of many wolves congregating together that we have finally reached our destination, The Run. The engine is turned off as I watch wolves walk by the truck. Some call out to their friends while others walked over and peer into the back where the cages that held me and Amelia in to see if we are good mate candidates. Nodding my head, I pulled Loid's shirt off of my body and let Carie take over. Once I had shifted, Carie raised her head toward the sky and howled as loudly as she could. Her howl shook the ground. Through Carie's eyes, I could see the darkness luring around, and the chains that were keeping my pack from fighting back. I immediately put it to my ear and tried calling Aleks' number which I had memorized in my head, but the call never went through. I sighed dejectedly and then tried calling 911. It started ringing but the call hung up abruptly. I sighed again and went out where the wolves were waiting for me. They looked at me with a strange intelligence shining in their eyes. Maybe they could understand me. "Food now?" I asked. They remained sitting for a few seconds then stood up together and ran into the woods. I went back into the caravan, trying to see if there was anything good in there.
