The Dark Hunter Series Novels & Stories

Here I was, nearing the end of my time in college, with no real certainty as to what the hell my next step was. I knew I wanted to get in government in some fashion, State Department, something like that. I knew it would happen or work out eventually, but right now I was feeling pretty low. And maybe that was the perfect time for a predator to seek me out. What if this guy was like Wyatt? I mean Haven said he was young and handsome, but everybody thought Wyatt was hot. I wouldn't even know it because we're going to be in the fucking dark. The idea of meeting a handsome stranger in the dark was kind of alluring to me I had to admit, but why not just ask me on a date?

“All he said was that she was murdered by a hunter mob. Hunters haven’t been active in centuries. Not since we revealed our existence to the world.” “It’s a start. I can put my people on it. The guild in Cerathe was disbanded when Ava took the throne, but Alistair is still in touch with former members. If there’s any information on them, he will be able to find it.” Lucas sighed and pulled me closer to him. Breathing in my scent helped to calm him after particularly stressful events. Finding his daughter almost eighteen years after her mother vanished, pregnant with her, qualified as one of those events.

“But the hunters—” “There are still an odd few who drink from humans, provided that they are willing,” Gregory answered. “And then there are the rogues who have lost their ability to think and are drowned in bloodlust. Hunters are appointed to take care of those who escape even the toughest of vampire security and keep killing humans in their madness. How long have you been a hunter, child?” Zaira felt heat creep up her cheeks at Gregory’s inquiry. “Two months.”

A vaporous, aromatic cloud arose and filled the room. She stood motionless and stared into the cloud while an image formed in it. Then a whole scene formed clear and distinct. She saw Dominic standing amongst wolves, mountain lions, snakes, rats and bats. His face was distorted with rage and evil. Mice and rats scurried all around him. Maggie jumped back from the vision as it suddenly shifted, and Brandon Wagner rode of the darkness on his large black gelding. She could feel his power as he grew larger and his body glowed with brilliant light. “I was wrong! I had the wrong man!” Maggie wailed.

His mind was blank for a second. Later on, he found himself licking her blood and slowly biting between the neck and the shoulder of the hunter. Little by little his teeth are pressing on her skin. But before he completely bite her, he was back to his sense. He was stunned for a few seconds. His hand starts trembling while looking at his face of Accalia. He wanted more, he wanted to bite her, and he wanted to mark the hunter. But when he remember the face of her mother, he feel guilty about what he was doing. Instead of biting the hunter, he bites his arm until fresh blood flows in it.

she asked. Karen had so many questions, and I didn't know how to answer her. I wished I had the answers, especially now, but I didn't, and it kind of made me feel bad. I knew I had to explain things to her a bit. "The Hunter family are supernatural hunters. They are human beings with special abilities to locate and identify people like me. They also can match our skills and kill us. They are the most dreaded bloodline of all the supernatural hunters. It was all fair initially. The Hunters made sure everyone followed the rules, and no one cheated anyone. We saw them more like judges, juries and executioners. Whenever there were issues, the Hunters would solve them. They could tell when we wer

My first night back at the Davis estate, sleep was a stranger. The withdrawal hit hardest in the dead of night. Curled up in bed, I shook with chills, my pajamas drenched in cold sweat. Memories assaulted me: my dad getting shot, my mom's last scream, the red liquid Adrian handed me... I remembered my first kill at 18: a traitor. Francis had shoved a gun in my hands and said, "Show your loyalty." I pulled the trigger, and the bullet found its mark.

Undead And Unwed BY MARYJANICE DAVIDSON The first of a long series of books with "undead" in the title — Undead and Unemployed, Undead and Unpopular are others. Frothy, light, too much fashion. I didn't want to go further after the first one. 41-50. Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter BY LAURELL K. HAMILTON

he said and I repeated again. “I take upon me the mark of the Watcher, the burden of the Slayer, the silence of the Grave. So long as night endures, and hunger stalks the veins of mortals,I shall rise—unyielding, unseen, unbroken. This is my vow, sealed in shadow eternal.” He finished and I recited after him. That was it, my vows were said and I was now a hunter. Bound by body, mind and soul to this one cause, vanquishing the ones we called the enemy.

A design made not by a god but of a god, in fact—an accomplice of the dark, maybe even darkness himself. No one told me darkness looks so beautiful. I notice now that he doesn’t have his eye patch on. He seems different without it, but no better. Eye patch or not, Hunter will always reserve the elegance of a waterfall. Luivanne once succeeded in distracting me. But only for a moment. Now, being a little close to Hunter, his eyes are becoming quite clear to me. I move my head back to rest it on Luivanne’s chest before whispering, “Tell me what lady won’t go berserk when their eyes behold that.”
