The feast. My fork clattered against the plate. My chest tightened. “I don’t think the feast is for me,” I said, bitterness dripping from my tone. She tilted her head. “Why not?” I laughed without humor. “Because it’s not for people like me.” The feast. The Moon Feast. It came once every decade, under the brightest full moon. The whole pack gathered on the training ground to honor the Moon Goddess for her blessings. The Alpha and the elders led the rituals sanctifying the pack, renewing the bond with the throne, blessing the warriors.

“Good boy, let's have some fun and let everyone see us together.” "Youreally ought to stop calling me tthat," I hissed.. Her grin was triumphant as she stepped back. “Smart choice. Be ready in an hour.” I turned away from her, grabbing my shirt and pulling it on. Thesooner I got this over with, the better. --- The feast was already in full swing by the time we arrived. The pack’s main hall was lively with activity, filled with the sound of laughter and the clinking of glasses. The Harvest Feast was one of the biggest celebrations in the pack; it was a time to honor the land and its provisions.

Stated Nathan. The three were called to help move tables around the fires for warmth during the feast. As they were setting up chairs and benches, Nathan heard one of the children ask if this was the meal that the grinch ate when his heart grew back. Katia’s response was just as enthusiastic as the child’s question, “Oh no! That was the Who’s Christmas Feast. Although I guess our feast is a lot like the Who’s holiday feast.”

A feast was laid for the humans upon the low tables and as the day aged into night it became evident that the drinks were alcoholic as the celebration became rowdy, in a euphoric, bacchanalian way, the feasters moving to dance around in rings around the central table, their hands joined to form a snake. Throughout the feast, Thaelen and Meguitte were brought a wide range of creatures, in a ceremonial presentation of each living creature into Meguitte’s hands, before the human took it again and slicing its throat, draining the blood into the wooden mugs for Thaelen and Meguitte to drink from. A feast of blood, the many different flavors of it bathing Thaelen’s tongue and combining to swell hi

"Come on, Joey. Zayla's just curious about the animals. She's pregnant, so be more patient with her. Besides, most of the animals are gentle. It's not like she'll go near the dangerous ones." Even though I had refused, he secretly took the keys and gave them to her. What he didn't know was that this betrayal had cost me everything. The starving bears, having devoured my severed hand, charged after me. I had no choice but to scramble up the iron netting and scream for help. But Zayla hadn't gone far. She stood nearby, laughing, and threw rocks at me as if I were a monkey. Stone after stone struck my body. "Die, you filthy woman! Your son would never claim a wretch like you as his mother!"

“A feast. Tonight. A gesture of goodwill.” Tobias exchanged a glance with Liora. “We’ll stay,” he said finally. “But understand this—one misstep, one reason to believe this is a trap, and the deal is off.” Kaelan inclined his head. “Fair enough.” The feast was arranged swiftly. Tables were dragged into the main hall, laden with roasted meats, fresh bread, and pitchers of mead. The air hummed with cautious energy as members from both packs settled into uneasy proximity. Kaelan stood at the head of the gathering, watching as Rhea moved effortlessly between the groups, diffusing tension with a smile here, a well-placed comment there. He marveled at her ability to soothe tempers—something he him

Her face displayed anger and dissatisfaction, as if Laura's actions had crossed a line. Starving and light-headed, Laura couldn't bring herself to eat with the animals. She clung to her dignity as a human being, the only thing she could hold onto in that moment. Fearlessly meeting Kathy's gaze, she expressed determination and courage through her unwavering look. Unexpectedly, more food was thrown down from above, emitting a familiar scent. Upon inspection, it was leftovers from the nobles' feast—mashed-up steak speared with forks, bone-bare roasted chickens, discolored mashed potatoes, scattered fruit pits, and vegetable leaves… A mixture emitting an indescribable foul and sour stench.

Caleb lunged to his feet, stabbing a finger at me. "Tony, how can you be so selfish? We just wanted to share in your good luck. You're acting like we're trying to rob you blind! "All we're asking for is a simple, affordable meal to show some spirit. Do you really think we're so greedy that we'd demand a feast of delicacies? To be honest, having the chance to treat us after winning that prize is a blessing for you!"

Tonight wasn’t just a feast. It was an ordination. I am being ordained into a life I didn't ask for. It broke my heart. From my window, I could see lanterns strung across the courtyard, flames flickering inside wrought-iron cages. Wolves, new and old, moved across the grounds like shadows preparing for something sacred. Something binding. The Pack Feast of First Blood. That's what Danielle had called it. A celebration for the newly turned. For wolves like me. My stomach twisted. "You’re pale,” Danielle murmured, brushing invisible lint off my shoulder. “Relax, Eva. It’s a ceremony, not an execution.”

Clearing her head, she began to help her mother skin and prepare the meat for the village feast. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It was dark now, the sun having set some time ago yet the feast was still in full swing. The men of the village were laughing heartily, while the women served them ale and food, or occasionally would dance to provide entertainment. The feast had been held outside, in the large clearing at the front of the village, the forest located behind them. A bonfire had been built, and tables and blankets had been laid around it in a large circle. At one end of the circle, the Hunters all sat together. Jesu and his sons sat by them, constantly asking questions.
