Diary Entry of Fallon Teroth (16) of the Grey Peak Pack The Grey Peak Pack celebrates the bond forming between a werewolf's human side and their wolf side. As winters close and the final snows cap the peaks, tall bonfires are built all around the square. A platform is erected in front of the pack house with a discreet closed area in the center. At the end of winter after a young werewolf first shifts, their wolf is introduced to the pack by the Luna.

Roger nodded but didn't take eyes off of her, he could also feel Telly watching her, pushing forward. "Must be some large she wolf" Gabby smirked "hope she is a red head" Roger glared at him for a moment then turned his attention back to the gray wolf in question. The sun was up and he was actually getting a good look at her for the first time, all dark gray not a spec of any other color, definitely could be mistaken for a black wolf, of a night. Even a young alpha wolf he supposed, but he already knew different was a high ranked warrior.

~. .~ Paws Creek was a lively hub of activity, and the visiting she-wolves from various packs stood out with their distinct colors. Each pack had its unique attire, making it easy to distinguish them. The she-wolves wearing pristine white garments were clearly from the Glacier Pack, their attire reflecting the icy lands they hailed from. Their presence exuded an air of cold elegance. On the other hand, the she-wolves donned in vibrant yellow attire hailed from the Sun Pack. Their outfits radiated warmth and vitality, mirroring the sunny region they represented.

Thankfully. Red wolves, yellow, green, blue, brown, gray, white, and black. A list from the lowest to the highest. No one had bonded with a black inner wolf in the entire werewolf race for generations. Even my father—the Alpha of StarClaws pack—was bonded with a gray werewolf. A fact which he prided himself over. And me? I was bonded to Molniya—a black wolf. “I didn’t do it!!!! Garek, tell them,” I turned pleading eyes towards my supposed mate and begged. His gaze remained stoic and my stomach sank. “Please.” I whispered.

The wolf's bay carried through the air. Lucas wasted no time running towards the sound. Certain this was it, one of his soldiers found something. His paws hit the snow as he sped forward, gearing himself up for a fight. The baying continued and started moving towards the lodge. Lucas shifted his path knowing the howling wolf decided the best thing was to regroup there. It didn't take long for Lucas to arrive. An all too familiar scent filled the air. The wolf who was howling arrived first, he continued to make the call drawing everyone back.

I growl stalking towards him again “Martin wait” Bryat says and I turn to him, anger still boiling in me “do you remember the story…the one they told us when we were younger. The black female wolf. If what he says is true…if Claire is the black female wolf she doesn’t get a mate. If this is true there could be more alphas coming to see if it’s true”

She could feel a rush as electricity shoot down her spine, this body was ready to run. The black wolf arched his large head back and began to howl. She shied away for a second, then another howl joined his. She looked past her mate to see a slightly smaller gray wolf approaching from the woods, she felt her hackles go up, her new wolf body ready to fight. The black wolf, her mate stepped into her line of sight placing his head under her snout rubbing his face against hers. She suddenly felt a rush of calm come over her, and the thou

But instead of old stories from my grandmother’s life, the pages were scrawled with strange symbols and sketches—shorthand in her handwriting explaining the purpose of different runes and sigils. Flipping through the pages, there were sketches of wolves, and the last page that she’d written in had a detailed rendition of a nightmarish wolf-beast that made my blood run cold at the sight of it, it’s eyes smudged over with charcoal in the shape of a protective rune. My heart raced when I realized what I was holding. This was no ordinary journal, it was a spell book.

I’ve never actually come to the Black Claw packhouse, even though I have spent many summers in Black Claw territory during my adolescent years. My father described it as a modest size packhouse in desperate need of updating. As I stood in front of the grand estate, I realized it was nothing like my father had described it. We spun around and watched a pair of red wolves pick up the wolf I just killed and run away with him. “What the hell, Grey? Who are these guys?” Wes pants. “I have no clue, but clearly they don’t like leaving their dead behind.” Wes hits my chest with the back of his hand. “Come on. Let’s get this cleaned up.” I nod and walk to join the others in trying to piece together what just happened.
