Hunt’s Mother was a new character. Potentially dangerous? My eyes wtached her dark gaze intently but still, I had no idea what to think of her. “Do you know why you’re here?” The sun was still high in the sky. But slowly, its warmth began to kiss my skin as I straightened my back calmly. “I suppose you didn’t summon me for nothing?”

My body buzzed with tension, every instinct screaming that something wasn’t right. And then, the gunshot. It was too close. I twisted, moving out of the way just in time as the bullet sliced through the air where I’d been standing. A growl ripped from my throat, my body surging forward as I shifted midair. The transformation sharpened everything—the scents, the sounds, the movement in the shadows. My eyes locked onto one of the hunters pressed against a tree, his rifle raised. I didn’t give him the chance to fire again.

He gentled his touch, drawing out her climax until she was a boneless, trembling heap on the bedsheets. Damien smiled like a predator satisfied with his hunt. "Good girl," he muttered, standing up. He finished undressing her, dragging the remains of her dress away and tossing her bra aside. He shoved his trousers and briefs down in one fluid motion, his erection springing free, thick and veined. Fully naked now, she adjusted herself on the bed, lying back against the pillows. He hovered over her, his dark eyes locked on her b**bs with a focused intensity before he lowered his head and took one peaked nipple into his mouth.

as he stared at me blankly, I added, " it’s the ancient order of Valhalla Bridge.” He moved so fast and pinned me to the back of the booth, he moved my hair and revealed my pointy ears, as he studied my features he hissed, “Valkyrie?… you are a Valkyrie assassin.” I hissed at him as my claws sharpened on my good hand and I sliced across his face, causing thin lines of blood to drip down his face. I laughed, “I am not an assassin, otherwise you would be dead, I am a hired hand, determined to wipe out your kind.”

Noya scoffed. So that’s it. Noya’s taken so much into account but has forgotten a key factor. Me. She has precautions against the supernatural, but I’m not any of those things. I’m human.
