The day seemed to have gone darker quickly, perhaps because of the heavy down pour which have left everywhere looking deserted and wet, puddles could be seen in the dark compound of the palace though a lantern was placed at each corner of it but that didn't stop the night from showing it's true nature, Joshua gradually walked down to Terry's room with both of his hands placed comfortably behind him, he seemed more worried than usual, both disappointment and fear could be visibly seen written all over his face, he feared that Terry might have lost the confidence he has in him as a friend and equally the trust, the fear that his mother have finally succeeded in turning them against each other

It was different from their world where the day and night differs. "It would be hard for Steve and his family to roam about now. He dare not come out when it's sunny" "You also realize that we can't change when it's day, Alpha" "I know. It would be possible when we've found the lost blood" Elon smirked. His omega, Dean, stared at him with a confused expression. "Lost blood? Where are we going to find that?"

I practically fall into the bed and roll to my back. The fluorescent lights flicker as it gets harder and harder to lift our eyelids open between blinks. Next thing I know I'm surrounded by empty, black, nothingness. Time seems to race and crawl at the same time. I'm not sure how long I've been here till a light shines behind me and I turn to look. As the light grows I find myself staring at the same fluorescent lights as before. "Honour, are you there?" I hear Hetty speak. Our mouth moving, but I can't feel it.

They are looking… behind me? I turned around only to be blinded by so much light, once more. After quiet some time, my eyes got used to the light, I slowly opened my eyes and saw a… lady? She was floating on the ground wearing a long white dress. She has really fair skin and also really beautiful. Is she really the light spirit? It means that she has chosen someone to inherit her powers. Is she choosing me? I don’t want to assume, it will be really embarrassing if I got it wrong. Why is she in front of me? Should I kneel? Bow? Greet her, maybe? “Mages, right before your eyes is the Light Spirit. We haven’t seen her for thirty years and looks like she has chosen a mage this year” I am frozen

It felt so magical. "Wow!" She couldn't help but yell as she felt mix emotions. She never imagined that she'd feel this thing called happiness again. She really wanted to cry. William smiled when he heard her getting amazed by the lights. He's glad to hear the happiness in her voice. Brieanna continued to look around as they fade out of the town's light. She wants to see it again but then every light fades. She didn't even noticed that she was hugging him already and that she was resting her head on his back because she felt sad she can't see it no more.

The shield closed, and we were left to wait outside. An hour passed. Then two. In the third hour, the circle began to flicker with an unnatural light, a color that didn't belong in a proper healing ritual. Martha gripped my arm nervously. "That light… something's wrong." Elder Thomas's face grew grim. "She's using the wrong herbal combination. If this continues, it will—" His words were cut off by a guttural, animalistic scream. The sound was completely inhuman, filled with pain, despair, and… an unspeakable horror.

As I walked, I could feel the presence of someone. I followed my instinct, I didn’t need directions. My body remembered the path, the same one I had taken years ago when I used to steal away from the endless punishment to hide among the archives. That was where i had met him for the first time, the man the court called Light, though no one remembered why. Some said it was because his eyes carried the glow of dusk... Others whispered he had lived since before the rise of packs and kingdoms, a scholar from a time when magic was written in blood. To me, he had always been simply the only person who spoke to me as though I was truly significant.

The world didn’t end with fire or broken crystal. It ended with light. A pure, bright, quiet, blinding white consumed everything: the cave, the loud pounding, and the ghosts of their mothers. It was the silence after a scream. Liora felt light, and the pain in her hand and chest was all gone. There was only the light, and a feeling of waiting and listening. Then, it was over. The light pulled back into the heart, which now hung still and quiet in the darkness. Its angry pink glow was gone. It was just a pale, smooth, milky crystal.

The wind is starting to die down, but they are forming a concentrated ball of darkness in the middle of the compound. Their screaming stops, and they start laughing with menace before speaking in whispers to us all. "Your light. Shadows are external, so you left us no choice. The light must die, and we will rise again in the next generation". The ball turns into a spear and heads straight to Lewana's chest, entering her body and knocking her to the ground. I scramble across the ground to her side and pick her up in my arms. "No. No. Come on, baby, stay with me".

Eyes still closed. Legs trembling. Then he just took one book from the shelves. “Here,” he said, stretching his arm out. “Take a look at this book.” I quickly snapped out of the moment. It was as if I had just woken up from a very interesting dream. He looked at me with a tiny, knowing smile—one that almost mocked me. It was the first time he had smiled genuinely at me. “This book—Lost in the Ruins of His Heart—it’s a really deep love story,” he said with a tone that carried a strange joy. “It follows the journey of a girl searching for her identity.”
