Life After Prison

Life After Prison

Heath was deeply focused on refining a batch of ninth-grade alchemical pills in the great hall of Third Mountain. The thunder roared in the sky as he was about to refine the pill. The sacred land seemed to transform into an apocalyptic scene. This sudden phenomenon startled Heath and caused his thoughts to become chaotic. As a result, the pills he was about to solidify burst open. The pills were destroyed on the spot, emitting billowing black smoke. Heath ignored the smoke billowing from the destroyed pills, but dashed out of the great hall immediately.

one of the best novels of this site. well written and great story. The only problem is Monday you get a lot of pages and chapters, and the rest of the week you get a page a day. Come on the author and this site can do better. Really about to stop reading because of this.

The Missing Daughter of House Lundren Returns as a Regressor

The Missing Daughter of House Lundren Returns as a Regressor

“Are you?” “Any doctor would be.” Sylvia smirked. She preferred types like him—they don’t pry. “Heh. It’s hard to tell without an introduction.” The doctor gave up and sighed. He swept his hair back with a hand and smiled. “You may call me Loomis. I run this humble apothecary.” “Nice to meet you, Loomis. I’m Sylvia.” “So I’ve heard.” Loomis opened the drawer on the bedside table and took out a couple of items—a small round tin and pills on a piece of cloth wide enough to hold them.

Lost to Time

Lost to Time

Next to the bed, hanging from the wall, is a tapestry I never got a chance to admire until now. I stop quickly to observe the design of the tapestry. The tapestry was woven to tell the story of the god Apollo chasing the tragic nymph Daphne. Both figures in the tapestry are naked since Apollo was stalking the beautiful Daphne while taking a bath in a mythical pool surrounded by a tranquil forest. The tapestry and story end with Daphne turning into the first immortal laurel tree. Apollo bestowed eternal youth on the tragic Daphne because she sacrificed herself in order to stay a virgin. "Jessa?" Adrexa asks, snapping me out of my revelry. Then, focusing my attention back on Adrexa as she pull

Lost in madness

Lost in madness

The furniture looks like it belongs in a museum, and there's a bottle of champagne waiting on ice. Of course there is. I'm standing at the window, trying to process everything, when I feel familiar arms wrap around my waist. He turns me around gently, and suddenly I'm looking into the face I've been trying to forget. "Hey," he says softly. Andrew looks exactly the same. Dark hair, strong jaw, eyes that seem to see right through me. He's wearing a simple white shirt and dark pants, but even casual clothes look expensive on him. "You have ten minutes," I manage to say.

Caged By The Cruel Alpha

Caged By The Cruel Alpha

The room was dim until Cain moved past her to light a lamp on the heavy central worktable, and the light spread outward to catch on shelved jars, leather book spines, copper instruments gone green with age. A healer's workshop. She'd never seen one — she'd been too young when the Ashford home burned, and whatever her mother had kept had burned with it. But she'd read about them in the books she'd stolen during her years at Blood Moon. She'd memorised the descriptions: the worktable, the drying racks, the journals, the apothecary organisation of a hundred small jars. This was that. This was exactly that. "How long has this been here?" she heard herself ask.

The Lost Pack

The Lost Pack

** Poppy’s POV ** It’s been a nice, slow morning at the clinic, no one bleeding, no one screaming, and no one trying to leave this world before their time. Just peace, coffee, and the large delivery of medical supplies to sort through. I’m halfway through stocking the herb cupboard when the door creaks open. “Hey,” Jake says, and I swear the man doesn’t just walk into a room… he glides. I turn, trying to be all calm and professional on the outside, while the inside of me turns into a flustered mess.

Loving this book so far! Author, as many have stated in the chapter comments, 291 & 292 are repeat chapters from 283 & 284. Though I do believe they should be at 291/292 (makes more sense) and not 283/284.

The Lost Bet

The Lost Bet

John’s POV He came home and threw the stuff on the kitchen counter. “Mira?” No sound. He tried again. Her jacket was gone, her shoes were gone, and there was no trace of her. He had only left her half an hour ago. She wanted to cook some Indian food for him and needed a few things. He ran upstairs, into his bedroom. That’s when the shock hit him. His safe was open and empty. The new watch he had bought was gone. A gold chain which was a symbol of his good old times, was gone.

When the Fool Heals the Mafia

When the Fool Heals the Mafia

Its glossy black exterior gave no hint that inside, it was fitted with life-support systems worth more than most homes in the city. Amara and Zogo, along with Jerald and Finn, climbed into a separate black SUV following behind. The convoy pulled away from the hospital, heading through winding roads toward the outskirts of the city. The destination…...the Old Apothecary Temple. A place whispered about more than spoken of, where dust-coated shelves groaned under the weight of centuries-old grimoires, and the scent of herbs…...some healing, some deadly clung to the very air. Amara had once studied there in exile, surrounded by secrets only a handful of living souls still knew.

Mating The Half She-Wolf

Mating The Half She-Wolf

Just quiet. His car was spotless, the scent of pine and leather lingering as I buckled in. No evidence of the fight we had in it just two days ago. The apothecary sat at the edge of town, tucked between an old bookstore and a tiny café. Inside, it smelled of dried herbs, honey, and dust. Rows upon rows of tiny jars, labeled with what looked to be duct tape, lined the walls. “Feverroot,” I read aloud from the list.
