The Luna Trials By Marissa Gilbert Novels & Stories

Tamara The next morning, Earth woke me up even earlier than usual. Instead of heading straight to the dirt rings, she led me deep into the quietest part of the woods, and far away from any listening ears. She stopped near a large, fallen tree and turned to face me. The usual ease in her eyes was completely gone. "I promised I would explain the Luna Trials," Earth began, crossing her arms. "Listen carefully, because this might be the only time I'll have to explain it properly. The trials last for three days, and they are designed to test every single thing you are made of."

Just as I’m about to say something, argue that I wasn’t that good of a girl, Laura comes back into the room, this time with a line of crew members and cameras behind her. She grins at us once we’re looking back at her, clapping her hands. “Alright guys, who’s ready to film Luna’s choice?!”

Everything was going exactly as she planned. Grandmother Eleanor’s cane tapped sharply on the stone floor. The sharp crack silenced the murmurs immediately. “The Luna trial will now begin.” Her eyes swept the pack before settling on me. “This trial has existed for centuries. It is not about birthright or marriage. It is about worth.” “If she is to be Luna, she must prove she deserves the title.” A ripple of anticipation stirred the crowd. Clara leaned close to a warrior nearby. “Bring the first test,” she whispered.

The Luna trial challenge consisted of three phases. The trial of the body, the trial of the mind and the trial of the soul. Each trial was attempted on separate days, with a two-day interval in between. That morning, Scarlett sat beside Dylan in his study, listening to Jordan as he fully explained the trial to her. "Once you begin, you can't back out." He was saying. "If at any point you give up, it will be assumed that you are not capable and strong enough to rule the pack beside the Alpha."

" Luna '' a knock came on the door and we both stared at the doorway. It was Lydia judging from the voice and the scent I knew it was her. The door was locked inside! My eyes flickered to Ezra's who was staring at me with hunger and desires showing in his blue eyes. I knew he wanted to claim me and that was the scary part. I couldn't bare the claim of another man when my fated mate was alive. Ezra's face turned cold and deadly as he glare back at the door again." Luna, I'm here to bring you your medicine" she said and Ezra angrily pulled his pants to cover his huge swallow dick. I signed but not in relief because I knew it wasn't the end." Get ready we are living for the full moon ball in th

Scott’s Point of View The morning starts like most others, early and cold. Marcus falls into step beside me as we move along the patrol line, a few warriors trailing behind us. “You’re quiet today,” he says, glancing at me. “I’m always quiet on patrol.” “No,” he counters immediately. “You’re brooding. That’s different.” I exhale slowly. “I’m not brooding.” “Right,” he mutters. “And I’m the Luna.” I shoot him a look.

She says, exasperated. "Well, not just that. We are the richest pack on the east side. It makes sense." "Not for long. Regent pack is catching up" Nora, cracks her knuckles. "Ooh, fun". I chew the last of my breakfast. "Isn't their luna attending the ball? she isn't mated yet right?" I ask, putting my plate in the dishwasher. "Luna Maia? oh she's not attending. She's out of country, I think it's bc she doesn't want to find her mate". "Why not? isn't it time, she became luna 2 years back, it's the perfect time". "It's probably complicated, it could be anyone. What if she mates with an alpha? could be mason, too bad she's absent. It'll be a complex situation". "Ascended lunas usually mate with

Her expression is polished, like she’s already rehearsed tonight's victory speech. "Finally," she says when I reach her. Her eyes drop to my feet and the corners of her mouth curve upward. "I was beginning to think you wouldn't show up." "I'm here, aren’t I?" I bite back a yawn. My head feels like lead, and the hours of Margaret’s endless demands have worn me thin. "So, what’s this all about?" Margaret’s smile sharpens. "Tonight, you’ll undergo the 3 final trials to become Luna of Blue Moon. These are all ancient tradition for every future Luna... It tests a Luna of resilience, loyalty, and strength."

"Lily was strong, yes, but she was also fragile. She couldn't handle the darkness that comes with loving someone like Thorne. She couldn't break the relationship with someone who she was never fated to. But you... you have something she didn't." "What?" She turned back to me with a knowing smile. "Resilience. Fire. The will to fight even when everything seems hopeless." Her expression grew serious again. "But know this—the path ahead will be treacherous. The Luna trials are designed to break you. And even if you pass them, there's no guarantee Thorne will open his heart to you." I stood on shaky legs, my mind reeling with everything she'd told me. "How long do I have to prepare?"

Half the pack had gathered to watch, standing along the edges of the open space, their eyes bright with curiosity and skepticism in equal measure. I recognized some of them from my previous life at the compound, pack members who had tolerated my presence as the "human" stepsister. Others were strangers, wolves I'd never seen before. And then there was Kira, standing directly across from where I stood with Ronan, Maddox, and Alec. Her expression was carefully neutral, but her eyes blazed with something venomous. "A Luna's first trial is simple," Ronan explained, his voice pitched to carry to the assembled pack. "She must shift and demonstrate control over both her wolf and her magic. She must
