Shaking my head sideways, “S…sorry your highness, I didn’t get that. What did you say?” He raised his eyebrows and looked intently at me before saying, “I AM A LYCAN. I am the prince and future King of Lycans and werewolves.”

In person, he was even more roguishly handsome and terrifying all at once, with a chiseled jaw coated in stubble and a head of jet black hair pulled back into a bun to reveal shaved sides. This was Neil. The prince of the Lycans. The barbaric military nation that hated us Werewolves. “Stop! I’m not an intruder!” I cried out. “Does it even look like I’m an intruder?” His black hair moving in the breeze. Cold blue eyes looked me up and down, taking in my skinny jeans and soaked crop top—so different from his shirtless torso and leather trousers. “You are one of those Werewolves from across the border. Luke said with a deep thick voice and growled. Prince Roy Havert was the Lycan prince of the Blackpool Pack. The Blackpool Pack ruled over all other packs. Prince Roy was only coming for an important ceremony that has always taken place on every full moon. Roy seemed to be the cold type of guy because of his cool face but yet unpredictable and dangerous.

He couldn't be bothered to look at such a lowly creature. He just coldly raised a hand and gave a signal. The two hulking Lycan guards flanking me moved instantly, appearing in front of Kira in the blink of an eye.

Heads turned. He walked like he owned every inch of ground he covered. "That," Mirabelle whispered, "is the Lycan prince." My blood turned to ice. "That's him?" Sarah breathed. "Yes. That's Prince Theron." The words landed like stones in my stomach.

I landed with a loud splash on the other side of the river. Pain shot through my entire body. For a moment, I thought the bone-cracking sound was coming from me. "Get out of there!" was the last thing Prince Kyrell growled before he completely turned into his Lycan. I quickly scrambled out of the water and moved towards the land, as far away from the water as possible, but still close enough to watch the horror before me. His Lycan seized the head of another and ripped it off completely like a rubber doll.

I regarded him coldly. “Who the hell are you?" He cocked his head, obviously amused by ‘whatever I couldn't place my fingers on.’ “I'm Luciano, the Lycan king of Moon pack, and your fated mate!" I had barely processed his words when his arms possessively wrapped around my waist as he lowered his lips to mine. “If you want to be kissed so badly, I should be the right person for that,” he said and before I could reply, he took my lips in a hungry but painful kiss.

I looked at her, and she nodded. I cleared my throat and started reading: “Once upon a time, there was a princess born in the Lycan realm. She was the youngest of a litter of six.” I paused and smirked. The concept was hilarious, and then she pouted, “What? We call our babies pups, so suck it up,” she said, and I couldn´t help but laugh openly but lovingly. “I am learning, darling... and I am loving it,” I said, and she smiled. She got me, just the way I got her completely. There were no halves, no midways... we were all in.

She said and I frowned. “What do you mean?” I asked and she gestured for me to listen. “When the lycans find their mate, they will mark them with their scent.
