My stomach lurched violently. "Let's keep moving," I gritted out, turning away from the horrific sight and toward another archway on the far side of the courtyard. The maze punished us for our choice. We encountered a staircase that looped back on itself no matter which direction we climbed. A bridge that extended further the more we walked across it. A room filled with identical doors, each leading to a different point in the maze we'd already passed. At one point, we found Mara kneeling over Lissa's unconscious form near a patch of suspiciously red mushrooms.

Sharp rocks, sudden drops, and narrow ledges forced every step to be precise. Daren slipped once, and instinctively, I reached for him, steadying him while keeping our momentum. Liora’s eyes were fixed on a distant marker, calculating the shortest route while avoiding traps. Kain removes the probe, leaving me trembling, still cuffed. “Night one complete,” he says, voice low. “Tomorrow, the neural maze—where you’ll run, and I’ll hunt.” He leaves me on the frame, the cameras still rolling, my body exposed, the network still buzzing with my shame and desire, already craving the next violation. My bare feet slap against the humming floor of the neural maze, a shifting labyrinth of holographic walls that flicker with distorted images of my own naked body—sweat-slicked, branded, dripping from last night’s calibration.

Kael and Zara, meanwhile, had to outwit their tenacious assailants in order to survive as they made their way down the perilous tunnels. They had no idea that their paths were becoming closer. A remnant of a long-gone civilisation, the labyrinth's winding passageways and the forest's thick foliage were all a part of the same old edifice. Its heart throbbed with a force that appealed to both parties, offering either salvation or destruction. At the end of the tunnel that Kael and Zara were rushing through, a dim light emerged as morning broke. They entered a large room with bright runes that appeared to be humming with life etched on its walls.

My steps were quick, slicing through the crowded hallway filled with omegas who were busy decorating the grand hall. “Fucking move!” I growled. The omegas started moving like scared cats, pressing their body on the wall so they wouldn’t block my path. My footsteps were fast until they turned into a run. I have navigated each part of this palace but this is the first time I realized how big it is. Why is it taking me so long to reach the rogue’s chamber?! After what feels like eternity of running I finally saw the door of her chamber. Omegas are plucking around, like they are watching something interesting.

He won't let her go this time. He hurried to the room which was in flames. She wasn't there and then he could hear faint voices coming from the room in the far corner. Hunter ran over there as he yanked the door open only to halt at the door frame. There were dozens of small screens in front of him and all of them were playing the same thing. It was a room drowned in darkness. Only one light bulb was hanging from the ceiling. He could hear a faint sob and then the camera angle shifted and his eyes narrowed at something wrapped in ropes.

Emory. As the link to Rodyn returned, Emory looked around and her gaze settled on the fireplace pulsing with the same runes on Dante… and Rodyn. Her guess was correct, Rodyn was in the tower. She walked to the fireplace and placed her hands on it. The fire died out immediately and a door opened in the wall, revealing a secret staircase that led down. Taking a deep breath, Emory descended the stairs.
