I asked, leaned forward, gaze locked and unblinking; it's like every muscle in my body coiled like a spring, ready to snap.
His face brightened, and he replied, “Of course, just give me a minute.”
I reclined in my chair, contemplating the tasks at hand for today. I felt like my brain was going to shatter into pieces.
A minute later, Kenzie snapped, “Here, she’s at the Metro Private Hospital.” I raised my eyebrows at him. What is she doing there? Please don't tell me Murphy is with her. That’s really bullsh*t. Kenzie had already sent me the address. She probably hasn’t left yet, so I’ll visit her later. We really need to finish dealing with Finn and his friend and their illegal schemes.
