The Moon's Dark Embrace
I yell, putting myself between the werebears and Nyx.
“On it,” my mate says, her arms shining with enchantment as a shield of white light starts to materialize between the final of the Blood Moon pack and the oncoming aggressors. The pack is gigantic, and it’s going to take a parcel to keep it up, but she’s up to the errand, sending a divider of enchantment shooting into the sky indeed as she flies nearby me.
“Will that thing hold?” Father inquires, sounding skeptical. “It better,” Nyx says, her assurance obvious.
