IRENE

She asked before Mr Martins audibly cleared his throat. "Uhm. The book" He turned to Zach. "The book you're holding unto from the library?" Then Zach pulled out a significant novel from his jacket trying his best to shield the title from Regina- -the title that was clearly shown on the other sides, the voices in your head. -a psychological true life thriller about a young boy with the gift of hearing dead people's voices. And Zach had wandered, if there was a chance--it was his gift, and if maybe his was paranormal.

But remember act normal and continue addressing me as ma'am," their dartling eyes followed in a giggle. "...everyone has a past and mistakes, skeletons we prefer hidden, shadows we're afraid of and voices we become slaves to_ but the golden key is not to envy anyone as you grow old. And so I would like to say am grateful you came in to the world cause you make mine, your mother's and siblings world beautiful." Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

Paintings adorned three walls while the last wall was all built-in bookcases filled with an eclectic mixture of works. Gabe loved to read. Jace and Ash teased Gabe about being a bookworm, but it was a passion that Mia shared with Gabe. While Gabe had given her the necklace and earrings she’d worn to the party the night before, that same Christmas, she’d given him a signed first edition of a Cormac McCarthy novel. “You look nervous,” Gabe said, breaking into her thoughts. “I won’t bite, Mia. Not yet anyway.”

As I look at my year in review, this author and book collection has been monumental in reigniting my hunger for reading. I can't track most of the books from this app easily for my year end count but in my heart this book means the most. I wish I could buy a printed version of each of these. .........

Only up to the first 3 stories...and I loved them! I wondered why the book was so big but it's broken down with several stories so when I get time, I'll read them accordingly. Pretty well written/edited and certain to make you desire more than you can handle.

His Beanie Girl

His Beanie Girl

Aaron loved it and wore it immediately, he thanked me with a knees wobbling kiss. For Peyton I gave her new glasses and a brand new signed copy of Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. I've heard her grumbling about how she had not gotten an original copy of the book. This once belonged to my father and it was sighed by another best selling author. Since I'm not one for books, I gave to her and she loved it. For My mom, I gave her a new cook book with different cuisines from different cultures. And for Jesse I gave him new shoes, good shoes take people to good places. I wish the best for my Chimpanzee. Surprisingly he loved it too.

Help Me

Help Me

The one thing that she turns to when she needs an escape from her reality at the moment. “You must have something.” Gabe prombts her. “An old, worn out copy of Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë that I keep in between my mattresses so that no one will find it and take it from me. Reading that book always brings me comfort.” And gives her hope. It makes her feel so much better to read it.

The Last Gift

The Last Gift

I'm going to tell Mom and Dad you've been picking on me! [Viola, are you dead out there? Actually, it's better this way. I took the only thing that could have saved you—the Miracle Elixir. Now, death is your only choice! Just die already, it's better this way!] Dozens of venomous curses followed—each one so vicious that even the officers who had followed us fell into stunned silence. "Did... Jane sent these?" Charlie's hands trembled uncontrollably. He couldn't believe what he was reading, and the realization hit him like a physical blow—he was one of the people who had contributed to his daughter's death!

Broken vows mended hearts

Broken vows mended hearts

The wind hovered against the towering mansion, rattling the windows as dark clouds gathered above Hollywood, the grand estate of the Earnshaw family . It was a dreary November afternoon and it was also winter time which made the sprawling house seem even more colder and suffocating. Inside the common room was a thirteen years old girl named Anna. She sat curled in a corner, her hand pressed against the armrest of an old leather couch. The book in her hand, a romance novel, was the only escape she had from the cold, suffocating reality of her existence . The warm cold glow of the atmosphere did little to ease the chill that had settled in her bones over the years. She had learne

THE LOVE I GAVE HIM

THE LOVE I GAVE HIM

Once inside, Amelia helped them get ready for bed, ensuring everything was done properly. Soon, they were both tucked in. Amelia sat between their beds, holding a storybook in her hands. “Ready?” she asked. “Yes!” they both replied at the same time. She began reading. Her voice was calm and steady, carrying a gentle rhythm that slowly filled the room. The story unfolded softly, each word pulling the children deeper into a state of comfort and ease. As she read, she occasionally glanced at them. Leo’s eyes were already growing heavy. Layla, however, was still watching her.

The wife I forgot to love

The wife I forgot to love

You made it something that breathed. To every reader who shared this story with someone else — thank you. The greatest compliment you can pay a story is deciding someone you love should read it. To every reader who came back after a hard day and sat with Helena for a chapter or two — I hope she gave you something. I hope the ordinary evening and the rosemary jars and the ring in the morning light reminded you that the quiet things are worth fighting for. The last word of this novel belongs to Helena. But this word belongs to you.

The Mafia's Chosen Girl

The Mafia's Chosen Girl

Arash asked again. Zaya's eyes widened even more. She almost thought that Arash could see the author's name on her book. But when she realised that Arash could identify Mira.W.'s novel, which always used pictures of flowers on each cover, it made Zaya even more convinced that Arash was indeed a reader too. "Is that your novel?" Asked Arash. Zaya nodded and said. "Hmm ... it's my novel." "Where did you get it? I mean ... did you buy it, or borrow it here? Because as far as I remember, there are no novels like that in this library."
