“You will do no such thing,” the Queen ordered, shaking her head. “Any men you send after him will just be seen as a threat.”
“But Your Majesty, we have protocol for this exact situation,” a second soldier argued, stepping forward. “The restraints failed. We have to bring him back by force before he hurts someone in the outer packs.”
“He will not go near the packs,” the Queen said, firmly. “He knows those woods better than anyone. He will slaughter your men if you corner him.”
