I knew at once that it was the prisoners I came for that were already there. As soon as they saw me , they all ran away. I entered into the pack and was blocked my a young Lady who I identified to be the Luna. she asked they I leave the place peacefully without causing problems. I laughed and told her that there was going to be blood shed if she didn't hand over the prisoners to me. She laughed , telling me that she only got back her people that were taken from her years ago.m, and that she wasn't going to hand anyone over. I got annoyed with the way she laughed and assigned my guards to get her off the way by attacking her.

I was here first, this was all mine. "I'm Lucy. You see, I'm the first and only love, even though you rejected him, look who begged me years later to be his breeder." I paused to gauge her reaction and was immediately taken aback by it. She seemed unfazed, she looked bored out of her mind and couldn't wait for me to finish. "Did you say 'Luna' oops! You are hereby stripped of your title as Luna." Pain shoots through my chest, and the mark on my neck feels like it is on fire. I do my best to stay on my feet. Elder Watkins can see I am suffering and offers me his hand.

Xavier muttered. “Yes, The Luna of the Nightshade pack. She only comes here once a month but you both are lucky because she will be here tomorrow,” The receptionist explained. By the look on Xavier's face, I could tell he knew who the Luna was. “Thank you for your help,” Xavier said to the receptionist. We then both walked out of the orphanage and got back into the car. “Aren’t you going to eat something?” I asked, trying to start up a conversation with him,

"But first, we have to wait for the guest of honor. Kenziel is already at the border, moving like a man possessed. It’s almost touching, really." He leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "I wonder if he would move even faster if he knew what was really at stake here." Klaus’s eyes dropped to Rebecca’s stomach, a predatory glint appearing in his gaze. "A Luna is a great loss, Rebecca, but a Luna carrying the future of the pack? That’s a tragedy that burns a man to the ground." Rebecca felt the blood drain from her face, because the confirmation hit her harder than any physical blow.

Roman voiced, but I didn't bother to look at him before I left the building. I drove directly to Kam's kingdom. The moment I entered the pack everyone was quiet. “Good day, my elders and members of this pack.” I greeted bowing my head. “I called this meeting because I have something to say.” They all turned to my direction, staring at me intensely. “I'm the dead Luna. I was given a second chance to come and rule this kingdom to greatness.” I said, instantly one of the elders bursted into laughter. It looked sarcastical especially when I was saying something serious.

She laughed as she leaned in again and whispered to my ears. “He just keeping you for now, when the real Luna comes, he'll dispose you.” I felt my chest tighten at her words, “the moon goddess chose me!!” She laughed louder now, “you are nothing but a prawn and a replacement.” She paused and then continued, “when he sees his true mate, he'll leave you..” I staggered backwards. Could this be the reason Kaius has refused to mark me?! Am I a replacement Luna?!

When I walked out of his chambers, the guards in the hallway refused to meet my eyes; they had heard, or they had guessed, and their silence was its own kind of cruelty. I found Lila waiting for me at the edge of the celebration grounds, her face pale and her eyes red from crying. "I heard," she said, pulling me into a hug so tight I could barely breathe. "The whole pack is talking about it. He announced the rejection to his Beta before you even woke up. Everyone knows, Rya." "Of course he did." I pulled back, and I was surprised to find that I had no tears left. "He wanted to make sure everyone knows I am nothing, that I'm not good enough to be their Luna."
