Elvie snapped impatiently, “How is it that you appear the night she gets kidnapped and continue to claim you had nothing to do with it!” I junped in. “He tried to rescue Mireille! The only one who really did!” trying to make the sobbing Elvie see sense. She’s too consumed by hurt and confusion. Her only child is missing in the wilderness.
