I mumbled softly to myself as I entered my office and slammed the door shut. I made a beeline for the reserved section of the bookshelf which held all the information I had gathered on the Shadow wolf during my travels across the world. I had been through these books countless times in the past, but it was no surprise that I may have skipped over the parts about mates, since I was sure I’d never have one. Well played Mother Selene! Four hours later I gazed at the back cover of each and every book and scroll that I had about the Shadow wolf and much to my dismay, not a single one spoke even a word about mates.

"Evie, I found something that might explain what we saw in the hallway." She opened the book, flipping through yellowed pages filled with diagrams of shadow creatures, spell components, and dark enchantments. She stopped on a page titled "Umbra Servientes"—Shadow Servants. "This passage here," she whispered, tapping a paragraph, "says that shadows can be summoned and controlled by someone with enough power to bend them to their will. But they aren’t just for show. They’re used to gather information, observe without being seen... or attack.” I felt a shiver run down my spine. “So they were really targeting me.”

And she can’t possibly tell them that she is ‘Shadow. In the underworld, Shadow is well known for being able to obtain information that even an influential person cannot. She is able to provide information about a needle in a haystack and its exact position. Aurora herself is just amazed by how capable her friend is.

She knew it already but her thoughts turned all true just when she heard a loud sound ringing in the silent cabin the next second. *DASHH* The loud noise followed, making her alert this time. Her doubts turned all true. She looked towards the direction of the sound, which was right behind her in a second and there she saw a shadow of a huge tall and bulky built hiding behind the shelves. Her insides twisted looking at the sight but she wasn't able to see the face of the invader properly due to the dim lighting of the cabin. Her eyes widened in fear yet she gutted back to step ahead towards the invader in order to start fighting off.

Allan’s shadow manipulation guided them, his control over the darkness creating a clear path. They finally reached the heart of the fortress, where the Shadow Relic, a dark, pulsating orb, sat atop a pedestal. The room was filled with an oppressive energy, the shadows swirling around them. Kai stepped forward, his hand reaching for the relic. As his fingers brushed the surface, the shadows in the room seemed to come alive, forming into a massive, dark figure. The figure spoke, its voice a deep, echoing growl. “You seek the power of the Shadow Relic, but you must prove your worth. Face me, and show that you are worthy.”

Every step was fraught with danger, and the air crackled with tension. As we neared our destination, a sudden realization struck me. The Shadows were not just an external threat. They had infiltrated our lives, entangling themselves in our past and present. We had unwittingly played into their hands, dancing to their tune without knowing the full extent of their control. The final confrontation loomed before us as we entered a vast chamber bathed in eerie blue light. The enigmatic leader of The Shadows stood before us, a figure shrouded in darkness, his identity concealed. His voice reverberated through the chamber, chilling our bones.

Before they knew it, they lost those who were tracking them down. IN THE secluded place in the city, Shadow was laying down on his bed thinking of the plans he needed to execute. Keisha, his sister… and the peace he was longing to taste. All inside his mind, spiraling down at him. He didn't know what to do first, who to go to first, and which people to trust. "Fuckin' life," he whispered in annoyance as he covered his eyes with his arm. He heard the door to the room open and didn't bother looking at whom it might be. He was already falling asleep when a soft and tender tone of a woman spoke to him. "S-Shadow?" The familiar voice made him wake up and sit.

The shadow says to the wolves. "I have done my work, Don't forget about the deal. I want her eliminated" The shadow said. "You have my word," Austin said and he shifted in the mid-air started running towards the place where Lisa and her friends were resting. Author's note: Who do you think is this shadow here. She didn’t need our help at all she could take care of herself and so when uncle Stefano kind of came clean and told us who The Shadow of Death was after keeping the secret for many years because he was the only one who was allowed to know who it was.
