The sixth dawn since the truce broke silver across the Ridge. Frost glistened on pine needles, and breath rose in quiet clouds from the nostrils of riders moving in pairs-Ridge and Luna, russet and silver side by side down narrow trails between ancient trees. Their bannered cloaks hung low, dulled by mud and wear, but their pace was steady. The forest watched in hush.

“Maybe this will help you get what you want. So,’’ he folded his arms. ‘’what is the plan?’’ I walked towards him and whispered into his ears. His eyes widened In shock. “That is a big one. Are you sure it is the only thing you can think of?” I nodded, my jaw clenched. “it is Silver. That is the only way to get them; she would want power for someone who has lost everything.” Silver’s expression turned grim, and he sighed. “If you want to do that, Zephyr, let’s do this.” Right, that was the plan.

My eyes widened upon remembrance and the feeling of dread intensified in my belly. “Who?”, I gasped my question a mere whisper against the deafening silence at the table. Father avoided my gaze,his jaw clenching. “Kian DaSilver, Don Silver’s grandson.” My mouth dropped open. The name DaSilver had been making rounds ever since Kian DaSilver took over his father’s position as Capo after his gruesome murder. Rumors churned that he was irrevocably cruel,pitiless and built like a bull. My frequent eavesdropping at father’s office had made me hear father curse at him for drug routes he had lost to him.

"You don't know if the thing is friendly or not. Or if it will attack." His warnings fell on deaf ears. As I rounded the front of the truck, I saw the gorgeous silver wolf-dog laying on its side. For a moment, I was afraid the worst had happened, until I saw its chest cavity rise and fall. Relief washed through me. He was still alive. "Yen," Peter called out warningly. "We should just leave him."

Gadgil showed the silver follicle to Sherlock. Some other agents came along to inspect it. “According to the scanners, this silver hair is also producing similar readings as that piece of rock.” “How strange.” Sherlock started to become intrigued by the silver hair. He placed the strand into a transparent vial which he put into another device for further analysis. The result showed the atomic composite as well as a mixed DNA helix relative to a bipedal creature. “What did you find, professor?” Inquired a curious agent. “Do you think the strand came from one of the cattle?”

I suppose this began as a whispering in the air which a whisper I didn’t hear. "Mr. Kim, thank you for inviting me. I did not expect you to invite me on such an occasion.", I said to the man just a few centimeters shorter, wearing a white tux and a red velvet undershirt accessorized with chains of gold jewelry and sparkled with bits of a diamond. Anyone would easily recognize this man even with his snowy white mask on. Everyone would know that he was Mr. Jun Kim, my client. He is as well the owner of SK Holdings and the host of today’s auction in Hera Palace.

“You don’t even know me. How will you act like a proper husband when I am your wife?” “I can do that. The question is- can you?” “No!” “But darling, you have to.” I was a realistic person. I knew when there was no hope. It was one of those moments when it was sinful and stupid to even hope. No one could save me from here. If it were some other family, I would still hope that my father or Rezef could take me from here. However, this was Silverclaw family. The most notorious of the four houses. Everyone knew what they did, but no one ever could do anything. I had no hope. I was stuck here until they decided to get rid of me.

He waited for me to fill him in. “His name is Cedar.” I looked at him. He looked so scared. “I can’t leave him.” I said. I wouldn’t leave him so scared. Miles nodded his head. He didn't fight with me about it. We made it back to the living room. He motioned for me to sit down. I took a seat on the plush couch and hoisted Cedar to sit beside me. “Master Cadogen says you will be staying with us until the annual Silver Gala. I need to know a few things about you to help the night go easier. First thing, do you have any formal education?” I swallowed hard.

Look at silver powder again. In the firelight, it looks like tiny stars. Like hope made visible. Maybe that's what it is. Hope. I hope that love can be bigger than jealousy. Hope that bond can be stronger than pride. I hope that three broken people can become something whole. I closed my hand again. Keep moon dust safe. Tomorrow I'll tell them about vision.
