My Step-Uncle's Plaything

My Step-Uncle's Plaything

Hot body. Rich vibes and older than me by a lot. “You don’t look clueless. Honestly, you look old enough to be my uncle.” I crossed my arms. “I’m sure plenty of women have been in your bed, and sex means nothing to you. And now you’re telling me you didn’t know? Keep your money. I don’t need it.” I walked out before he could speak, leaving him completely stunned. Did he think he could buy me off with his looks and his money?

The Unbroken Glow

The Unbroken Glow

He had been after the mystical bracelet when a storm wrecked his plans. I took a moment before telling him, "The bracelet is gone. It's not here anymore." He was caught off guard for a moment. Then, his face broke into a relieved grin. "No big deal, I'm lucky to be alive. "What should I call you?" "Rebecca." I took a quick glance at him. He had an air about him that was anything but ordinary—certainly not the average businessman. However, it did not matter whether he was a wealthy heir or a street beggar. All I cared about was being true to myself.

His Unbroken Luna

His Unbroken Luna

Not one of them had ever raised a hand to help us. Not one of them raised a hand to stop us now, either. … Fifty steps past the gate, I told him to put me down. "You're hurt," he said. "I can walk." I pushed at his chest until he eased me to the ground, slow, watching me the whole way. "I'm not so far gone I can't walk." That wasn't really why. I needed to feel the dirt under my own shoes. Some part of me was certain this was a dream, that any second I would wake on the floor of my room with the whip still hanging by the door. I had to stand on something solid to believe it was real.

My Last Walk Home

My Last Walk Home

She shook me gently. "Get up. I won't be mad. I won't make you walk home alone anymore. I'll buy you new hearing aids. Just get up." My body didn't react. My head just rocked with her hands, like a broken rag doll. "Stop pretending!" Mom screamed. "Vienna, do you hear me? Get up! You said you could make it home alone! You promised! You broke your promise!" The doctor stepped in, hand raised. "Ma'am, please calm down."

“Mr. Leith! Give me my walking stick!” “Young master!” Mr. Leith still refused to give up. Haydn Soros spoke through gritted teeth, “Give him the walking stick, Uncle Leith.” Old Master Soros’ chest was heaving vigorously as he snatched the walking stick from Mr. Leith’s hands and smashed it hard on Haydn Soros’ back with a swing. “You can fly now, huh!” The walking stick struck Haydn Soros on his back! “You’re strong and powerful now, huh!” Another vicious strike from the walking stick and it left a bloodied mark on Haydn Soros’ arm.

I just finished reading the book, I enjoyed it and found myself looking forward to each chapter. There were moments where it felt neverending and repetitive, nevertheless I can't wait to read the end. In the meantime, I ask other readers what their thoughts of the book and how they hope it will end?

Absolutely amazing! I've been an avid lover of books for my entire life and I can honestly say that this either ties with my favorite novel, The Count of Monte Cristo, or might even surpass it with it's engaging plot, interesting characters, and a writing style that constantly keeps you wanting more

In the Chains of the Alpha

In the Chains of the Alpha

“What do you mean, I have to wear this? I’ve worn nothing like this before. I don’t know if I can walk in these.” Tara held up a pair of high-heeled silver scrappy sandals. “It’s one thing to be a complete shoe or boot with a heel. But these are begging to break my ankle the first crack in the sidewalk I find. Or I’ll miss a stair and end up on my head at the bottom of the stairs.”

My Seven Gorgeous Women

My Seven Gorgeous Women

He had evolved into a dragon, after all. Walter waved his hand when Chase agreed to it, and a long stick appeared in it. The stick was about five feet long and was as thick as a small arm. It was thicker than the usual stick and looked heavy. It was gilded with cloud patterns and had black and red ribbons around it on both ends. Chase thought it looked familiar but could not put his finger on it. Willow was surprised. Walter had never used any weapons before. Where did he get the stick from?

Rejected By My Best Friend And Alpha

Rejected By My Best Friend And Alpha

We were both on our backs. I scrambled to get up, but he shoved the stick to my throat. "Stay down, or I'll have your throat ripped out." Easy enough. I froze. Vivid still stood there. Shaking. At least she was safe from the stick. Mr. Big Stick turned his attention to her, leaning in, sniffing her hair. I felt rage boiling in my veins, shifting to get in again. Mr. Big Stick growled and swung the stick to hit me in the leg. "I said stay down."

I loved how the story wasn't slow and it kept up with the pace of suspence and interest. Didn't get boring at all, looking forward to more stories from this author. I laughed out loud several times from the way the characters behaved, I was captured throughout!
