“Um, come-“ Before he could complete his statement, the door was slid open to reveal the uninvited guest. And much to their surprises, it was no one but Giovanni’s father, Albert, walking in with a horrified expression on his face.

Both of them were too stiff to react, because the strange woman there seemed to be possessed. The panicked screams of the female guests were heard mixed with the tantrums of the foreign women who had just arrived. There is no security guard. Arleena was too confused why someone other than a guest had made it through to this event. Arleena didn't feel familiar with this woman at all. He thought there was no way she was part of Justin's family. Especially members of his extended family. "WHERE IS HE? I WANT TO MEET HIM!"

Josephine stood to the side and watched Susan push the door open after unlocking it. "What the hell is this?" Susan screamed as she entered the room. The room was big but it was filled with tall shelves which was packed with dry food stuff. The place was cool. There was a rolled-up mat leaning against the wall towards her right at the entrance with a folded blanket sitting on top of it. "Sir, ask me to prepare this place for you because he is now determining your status. After the weekend, the guest room will be prepared for you as his wife-to-be," Josephine informed Susan with her head lowered and Susan frowned.

And the mysterious man is getting closer to me. What do the guests do when there's a suspicious figure around them!? Are they not suspicious at all!?

Each time, I saw nothing unusual—just elegantly dressed guests chatting and laughing with glasses of champagne in hand. Still, the unease lingered. At one point, I thought I saw a man standing near the back of the room, his face obscured by the shadow of his brimmed hat. Somehow, even though I couldn’t see his eyes, his gaze seemed to bore into me and sent a shiver down my spine. But when I blinked, he was gone, as if he had never been there at all. “Mommy, catch me!” Zoe’s voice snapped me out of my thoughts. She darted past me, her laughter echoing through the room as she weaved between the guests.

Who were these unexpected guests? Sophia's expression twisted with frustration, realizing that the spotlight was now shared. She withdrew her hand from the cake knife, her parents also engrossed by the mysterious newcomers at the entrance. The woman and her son halted in front of Sophia and her parents. Her son's gaze swept the crowd, our eyes briefly locking. He maintained his stare, and I felt a twinge of awkwardness, my eyes shifting to the floor. It was clear that someone like him was far beyond my reach, and that brief exchange felt like an unexpected gift.

She quickly pointed. We followed her little finger to the corner, a couple of feet away from the French doors. There hid a small white mouse there. "Oh." Milan just said before the chase started for the mouse. ••••• Pierce left a couple of minutes ago to fetch Serenity and I's luggage from the motel. Turns out it's a werewolf owned motel, which is how he managed to pay so quickly earlier. Which is also how he'll be able to fetch our luggage from the motel without us. 'Connections' as he called them.

I said walking inside and he followed me. “So, how did you know where to find us and that too so soon?” he asked, sitting in the guest chair while I sat in mine. “I already knew you both are planning to go somewhere and that too for my sake. I was wide awake and acted as if I was sleeping. The moment she left, I got ready and reached the gate after your cab left from here.” I replied and he nodded waiting for me to finish. “Do you know the new ones whom you hired think I am the actual boss after you?” I asked and he frowned.

Nothing was meant to come between them, but suddenly, everything seemed to slip through her fingers. The stranger approaches closer, his eyes frigid as he fixes on Simeon. This wedding will not take place. Not now. Not ever. The guests' gasps sliced through the tension like a dagger. Simeon's jaw tightened, but he remained unflinching. He approached the trespasser with a calm but icy voice. Go. Right now. The tension in the room is almost like an invisible force pushing in from all directions. Everyone is waiting for someone to act. Elizabeth cannot turn away from the developing mayhem; her breath catches in her throat.

Closing my eyes for a moment, I allow myself to absorb the atmosphere. "As long as nothing else goes wrong tonight, it should be a decent event. We'll see everyone out and call it a night," I think optimistically. But I spoke too soon. Opening my eyes, I catch sight of an unwelcome scene: Fina and Hugo. I made sure they weren't on the guest list, so their presence is both puzzling and infuriating. My heart beats faster as they seemingly make their way toward Blossom. I excuse myself from the group around me and attempt to intercept them in the crowd, but the guests keep stopping me, delaying my efforts.
