The Unforseen Guest Novels & Stories

Most of Sammy's regulars have come in like most Saturdays, which are keeping her busy and her mind off all the strange things happening to her. Luckily, she hasn't had any more of those weird daydreams, so the time is moving fairly quickly. "Hey Sammy, can you turn that up some?" Bobby Burns, another one of Thompson's regulars, asks Sammy as he points towards the TV. "Sure thing, Bobby!" Sammy responds as she picks up the remote for the TV. Sammy and the bar patrons all look towards the TV to see what Bobby is looking at. It's the local 12 o'clock news with a Breaking Story across the screen:

I decided to check the last room in a corner but I don't think she would be there. I pushed the door but soon I cursed myself. I just came into the wrong room. The couple was busy in their private things and I just disturbed them. I was about to leave when I was startled, it was Dean...Who the heck invited Dean to this party. (A/N: Remember Dean..?? The captain of the opponent team) Before I could shut the door again Dean looked at me with so much nervousness. His girl was on top of him. She pulled him closer to her.

"The baby. it may not be yours. There is more, too. I... I have been working with someone. Someone who has asked me to spy on you and the Fernandezes." Morris staggered back and asked, "Who? Why?" with his mind galloping like a runaway horse. But before Allison could reply, Morris's phone buzzed. A text from an unknown number: "Meet me at the abandoned warehouse on Pier 17 at midnight. All your questions will be answered."

As she approached her usual row, the friends she had laughed with just twenty-four hours ago suddenly looked busy. One locked her eyes onto her phone, another quickly placed her designer tote bag on the empty chair beside her, and the rest looked away, completely ignoring her existence. The black card’s curse had officially begun. With a tight throat, Antonia walked toward the very back of the hall and found an isolated desk. The true storm hit the moment she pulled out her chair. A loud, wet squish echoed through the immediate area. Antonia froze. Someone had smeared thick, sticky blue acrylic paint all over the seat.

The crowd applauded. But Ryan barely heard anything. He was staring at the closed red curtain, every second stretching tighter. Then the lights dimmed. The host reappeared, visibly confused. “We have… a surprise entry,” she said, reading from a card. “One that wasn’t on the original schedule.” A ripple of whispers spread through the audience. “Please welcome… The Unwritten Story.” The lights cut out. Complete silence. Then a single spotlight. On stage stood Adrien. Hair slicked back, dressed in a dark suit like he was hosting a funeral. No microphone. No music.

But the little boy wasn’t so little anymore. Jeremy gives me a lopsided grin as he lets go of me to pick up the fallen steel stuff. I am stupid enough to blush, but I quickly shake the red off, internally slapping myself into remembrance that all the guests had almost arrived and were settled in the humongous guesthouse. Edwin Clifford, the guest of “honour” would be here in the evening. I take a deep breath, a warm satisfaction alighting me for I knew that it would be Edwin Clifford’s dead body leaving this mansion.

I opened my mouth to answer Roland's question, but before that everyone was startled by someone's presence. I turned my head and saw a guest who wasn't supposed to come was now entering the gate. ***

The repetitive motions allowed me to escape the constant fear and uncertainty that plagued my life. But then, strange things began to happen. Luna Nora had started entertaining odd guests—people who came to the palace not for business, but for secretive, whispered meetings. I noticed them slipping into the palace quietly, almost as if they didn’t want anyone to know they were there. One afternoon, I was asked to serve drinks to these mysterious guests. As I approached the dining room, I overheard low voices through the thick wooden door.

the petite lady announced. "Oh. We aren't expecting any visitors." Alvida had said. "I wonder who that might be." Alisia said. "Let her in." Alvida had said and the maid had scurried out of the room to carry out her mistresses order. We had continue with our conversation and everything felt great; it felt like we were being allowed to have a fresh start as a family, however, it would seem as though bad luck was in much abundance as the joyous day of their discharge and arrival back home turned into a dramatic one at the arrival of the uninvited guest.

No matter how hard I tried to push it away, it was always there, gnawing at me from the inside out. "Miss, you have a guest," Arcel announced as she entered my bedroom. I raised an eyebrow, puzzled by the unexpected news. I couldn't recall ever having a visitor before, so I was curious to know who it could be. "Alright," I replied, my tone tinged with curiosity. After all, it wasn't as if this "guest" posed any potential threat to me. The security measures in this mansion were as tight as the Great Wall of China, so I felt perfectly safe within its walls.
