The Void. Nothing can be hard but the clanking of chains and the high-pitched gasps of someone who has long been imprisoned and chained. Unmoving, breathing but barely alive. At some point in time, the prisoner was a promising one. There is so much talent and curiosity. But that was a story for a completely different time. Right now, the prisoner lives off on whatever negative energy that would somehow make its way towards the void.

It was almost as if those fissures represented his heart. “I think you know what that is,” Cronos leaped off his throne and landed right next to Mane. “The Void,” Mane stated with a stern expression on his face. Yes, that was indeed the power of the Void. The darkness that stood in the corner of his Soul Space was no longer there. Rather, it seemed to have engulfed Mane’s Soul Space like a membrane. Those cracks were openings for its power to seep through. And Mane could feel the strength in those lines.

The liquid glowed violet, the feather floating on the surface like a boat on a troubled sea. Nyra’s breath caught as the liquid roiled, and a vision flickered above: a vast council chamber carved from black marble, ringed by pillars of bone. Hooded elders knelt around a stone dais where a jagged throne awaited the Void‑born god. A voice layered over the vision: a collective chant that thrummed in Nyra’s ears. “We call the Void… we call the Void…” She staggered back, hand flashing to her throat. The whisper now echoed in her mind, indistinguishable from the elders’:

Alec, his voice filled with defiance, shot back, "Who are you? Show yourself!" From the shadows, a silhouette began to form, its shape constantly shifting – a being not bound by form or essence. "I am the Void," it hissed, its voice dripping with malice. "The antithesis of the Nexus. While you seek to unite, I thrive in division." Lysandra, ever the diplomat, inquired, "What do you want from the Nexus? Why fracture our realities?" The Void laughed, a sound that sent shivers down their spines. "The Nexus holds power, unimaginable power. With it under my control, the multiverse will bow to me."

I froze upon feeling an electric shock that struck my whole body when I felt his soft lips touch my ear, my breath getting heavier as I breathe, and I can feel my heart is throbbing fast as if someone is playing the drum inside it. "They call you Null. Zero. Empty space." I grabbed the teenage boy. I handed him the rifle. The weight made his shoulders drop, but he gripped the stock. Static pricked his fingertips. "I am the Void," I told him. I looked into his eyes. "I am the biggest nothing in the world. And I am going to eat their King." I looked back at the army. My heart hammered against my ribs. Pounding. Painful. "Show them that empty space is dangerous. Show them that you are the end of everything."

"What is it?" "The Void isn't just darkness. It's a repository. Every deadie the administrators erase goes here. Their consciousness doesn't disappear. It's stored. Dissolved. Turned into whispers and faces and hands that try to drag others down." She moved closer. "It's where you go when you're terminated. When you fail. When you break the rules one too many times."
