Inside the majestic looking walls that they have ever seen is an entirely different sight. Because to them, these is the first time that they have ever witness something like these at all. And the inside of the wall, Is actually a modern looking town, like never seen before, tall buildings with glasses windows, the buildings were made out of bricks and also some kind of an odd stone, which is concrete but naturally they didn’t not much about that. But these sight as has actually made them believed that Aeternum is truly different because even the biggest city in the wasteland which is the cities that they were used to didn’t even looked as good and as advance as what is before their eyes.

With real brushes, chipped nails, and a color called burnt persistence. The walls were uneven. The windows stuck. The radiator hissed in the winter like it had something to say. But it was the first place in either of their lives that hadn’t been chosen for them. Inside, there were no weapons. No security nodes. No expectation of clarity. Just a coat hook by the door, a half-sanded dining table, and two coffee mugs one cracked, one stolen from the old Council kitchen. Aria stood barefoot in the kitchen now, chopping garlic too aggressively.

Move along. The first wall came down in a controlled, sequential collapse, dust rising in a slow cloud the wind pulled north. Women had lived inside that ordinariness, woken every morning inside something that looked like a workplace and was actually a mechanism for making people disappear. They'd kept stones and pressed flowers and letters addressed to no one, because that's what people do, find small ways to insist on their own existence even when everything around them is built to make them forget it.

On top of the 80 meter tall wall were soldiers that patrol the wall and luckily right in front of them was the west gate of the city. "Wait...are those..." The soldiers who had been patrolling on top of the wall noticed them running towards the wall. "Hey hurry up and signal the gate guards." One of the soldiers on top said to the other soldier. "Please help me, please help me, please help me." Lianne continued on repeating the words over and over. The guards on the gate opened the west gate and soldiers went to their post as the wandering people came one by one to the gate. The first one to arrive was Abdaal, the closest aid of the group leader.

The Wall That Hides 2 POV: Mila I turned back and walked straight to the wall. The small space inside the doorway felt even tighter now, like though the air itself was pressing in. I stared at the stone in front of me. If it was new, it could not be completely dry yet. Cement took time to harden fully. I reached out and touched it again. The surface was cool, but when I pressed my fingers harder, I felt the slightest give. Not much, but enough. It was still damp underneath. Still fresh. Someone had built this wall recently—very recently. The thought alone sent a chill down my back. Kael. It had to be Kael. He had sealed it before Sara spoke. He had hidden whatever was behind it. But why? Wha

They would never believe how many lives were destroyed inside these walls. I walked deeper into the building slowly. My footsteps echoed through the emptiness. I touched one of the walls. Cold. Dead. Like the place had never lived. My jaw tightened. Dr Wally was a greedy man. A man who would never abandon power. He would never simply walk away from an operation like this. That meant only one thing. They had moved. Somewhere else. Somewhere hidden. Somewhere no one could find them. I looked around the empty building again.

I hugged the right people, held the flowers, built a wall in my mind that I thought would block my fantasies from everyone. I pictured it; bricks upon stone upon concrete, built up, up, up, rising into the clouds and buried beneath the dirt. It was attacked by invaders but held strong, battered by rain and thunder and wind. Where that came from, I didn't know, nobody knew. No one could tell me, nobody knows where the wind comes from or where the wind goes, but my wall kept it out, kept them all out. After nearly spilling wine all over Minah's wedding dress and making the waiter look at me like I was unstable—which I was, but that was beside the fucking point—I cleaned up my dress as best I c

He walked back through the training courtyard where the eight women were finishing their session and one of them, a demon in her fifties with the bearing of someone who had spent decades making herself small, was laughing at something the instructor had said. He stood there for a moment, just watching. Sometimes you built things and then you saw what they had become and the distance between those two things was everything. — Bonus Scene: The Wall The building was quiet by the time everyone had gone to bed. Lyra sat alone in her office.. She should have gone home hours ago. Instead she stood in front of the wall. Most visitors never paid much attention to it. They noticed the photograph from

Alice The metal chair scrapes against the concrete as Nova shifts, wrists bound in front of her, shoulders slumped like she has been carrying the weight of the world alone. The interrogation room smells like rust and disinfectant, and the single bulb above her head casts a dull glow across her pale face. I lean against the wall with my arms folded, boots planted firmly on the ground, watching every twitch of her fingers.

waited. There was some slight irritation where the laser was hitting him but other than that, nothing. Suddenly, a strange feeling appeared. He felt like there was something new inside his head. The robotic voice came again and gave further instructions. "Please close your eyes and concentrate. Imagine a safe place, any place, you are standing inside it. No one else can get in here, this is your personal palace..." Somehow Sheng Chen could feel himself falling asleep. The robotic voice sounded a bit hypnotic and Sheng Chen couldn't help but follow its directions. He did as told but after several minutes nothing happened.
