Moonlit Shadows

Moonlit Shadows

What price would the Book of Whispers extract from us? With measured steps, we approached the pedestal, our gazes locked on the ancient tome. As I reached out to touch its weathered pages, a surge of energy coursed through my fingertips, sending a jolt of anticipation through my veins. "The Book of Whispers holds the answers you seek," a disembodied voice echoed through the grove, its tone both soothing and enigmatic. "But to unlock its secrets, you must be willing to sacrifice a part of yourselves."

Whispers Beneath The Rain

Whispers Beneath The Rain

The silence of the morning carried the same hollow stillness that had followed the blaze fifteen years ago—the day smoke devoured the sky and stole everything she had known. She forced her hands to keep moving. Order was comforting. Order was safe. “Clara, did you see this?” The voice exploded into the quiet like a burst of color. Lena Torres rushed toward the counter, apron dusted in flour, curls bouncing with energy. She smelled faintly of cinnamon and sugar, the scent following her everywhere like an aura of warmth. Clara allowed a small smile. “Good morning to you too.” “Forget good morning.” Lena held up a small leather-bound book, its cover faded nearly to gray. “Tell me this doesn’t l

My books on his shelves. I picked up the silver bracelet he gave me on our second anniversary. “For my future Luna,” he had whispered. Future. I set the bracelet down carefully. Then I opened the wardrobe and pulled out a suitcase. Lyra stirred anxiously. Are we really leaving? “Yes,” I whispered. Because I refuse to stay where I am only almost chosen. Downstairs, I heard the distant rumble of a car entering the driveway. Rowan was home. For one fragile second, I hesitated.

His Mask, My Sin

It petrified The room was smaller, weightier. The air pressed against my skin with cold fingertips. I turned my head, inch by inch—and, oh, so very inch by inch—to the dark corner next to the bookshelf. Nothing. However, the cold remained. Then there came the whisper, the insistent and raspy whisper, that stroked my ear, almost but not quite out of my imagination. “Aiden!"

whispers beneath the moon

whispers beneath the moon

I wandered, fingers trailing along spines, until a thick, aged tome caught my eye: The Rift: The Blood Feud Between Shadowmoor and Nightfang. Curiosity burned. I sat, flipping through tales of broken treaties, stolen land, and one chilling entry about a Luna from Nightfang who was assassinated by a Shadowmoor spy. No wonder these packs hated each other. “I wouldn’t start with the war crimes,” a voice drawled behind me. “The poetry section’s less likely to give you nightmares.” I looked up sharply. A woman leaned against the bookshelf, arms crossed, expression wickedly amused. She wore combat boots, a half-buttoned uniform jacket, and a smirk that could slice steel. Her dark blonde curls were

Alpha's Regret: Reclaiming his Whisperer Luna

Alpha's Regret: Reclaiming his Whisperer Luna

“Witch Ciara also had a book like this. She read from that and told us about the curse breaking once. According to her, we need a whisperer, a silver dagger, and me at a full moon night for better results. She had a list of some essential herbs and potions, but I don’t know much about it.” Firstly, it made me roll my eyes that Zayden compared the holy book of whisperers with a witch’s grimoire, usually filled with the hexes to fool and hurt others. While the holy verses of our sacred books were lifesaving, serving nature with utmost dedication.

Definitely a read. This book left me with so many emotions. Crying to yelling at the characters in this book. Clearly this writer found their calling when becoming an author. About to start reading some of their other works now. Good job on this one though.

Whispers of Love

In Abigail’s heart of hearts, she already knows, she has a special admiration for Debbie since the day they met. Abby hasn’t forgotten the days she felt the special connection, though it may not mean anything to Debbie but mere thoughtless words. She can vividly recall; it was their first meet up, as Debbie whispers to her ears and said, “I prayed for you when you’re sick.” Abigail was puzzle when Debbie did know she was sick; in fact, she was not ill during that time. It remains a mystery to Abby why did Debbie whisper those words. It was a sweet melody that touches her soul.

Whisper of the Alpha

Whisper of the Alpha

The herbs were rejecting, and that could mean only one thing. This man was poisoned by Whisperbloom. The name sounds harmless, but the poison itself is anything but. It was a rare poison that was nearly always fatal, and nearly impossible to detect. Unless you were me of course. Well, not exactly. There was only one way to clearly detect it, and that was that when a victim of Whisperbloom poison smelled or came in contact with an herb called Silkgaze said victim would become incapacitated. Silkgaze was one of the main ingredients to Whisperbloom antidotes, but it came with its own set of side effects. His collapse in front of my cottage suddenly made sense.

Whispers of the Heart

Whispers of the Heart

My heart raced as he leaned down, past my cheek to my ear and whispered, “Just remember. I don’t mind hard work. Anything worth having is worth working hard and fighting for. I also don’t like to lose so I look forward to hearing the rest of your story.” As soon as he whispered that, he planted the smallest ghost of a whisper of a kiss on my cheek as my breath hitched in my throat and I closed my eyes to savor the sensation. When I opened them again, he was walking away and I was trembling like a leaf. All plans to avoid him had vanished into thin air.
