*Flashback* "I don't know I guess I've always imagined it to be a little more... special." I was never really a kid who cared much about my wedding day or the dress I would want to wear on the day but that doesn't mean I didn't want the day to be great. It doesn't mean I didn't want the day to be so amazing I would want to tell my great-grandkids about it. "You know I can't love." He says to me as he packs up the things he needs to go to the office, further breaking my heart.

and I swear I would just look at a few pages that's all I told myself, but it was a lie, and I knew it, but still ignored how my conscience told me to keep the damn book, cause if he catches me with it, it would be disastrous, and opened to the middle, but what I see there is nothing about his likes or dislikes "I did for in love, but after what happened, I would never again, and would rather prefer to remain anyone's stranger, and never let anyone like me, cause if the person does, promise me the world even, and leave me two years to come, I swear to God, I would never forgive him, cause..."

Zyran said simply. I turned to look at him. "I mentioned this place once," I said slowly. "Weeks ago. In passing. I said something about a bookshop I used to go to when I needed to feel normal." "Yes," he said. "You remembered that." "I remember everything you say," he said, with the same straightforward quality he used for stating facts. Not as a romantic declaration. Just as a truth he was reporting. I stood there in the entrance of the bookshop and looked at him and felt something move through my chest that I didn't try to name or examine or hold at arm's length. Just let it be there.

Engulfed in my book I keep walking and accidentally walk by someone who is standing right when I come inside, my hand gets brushed against another and tiny tingles play on my skin for a milli second until they are gone again. It doesn't affect me the slightest and I just keep walking even if I know who it is, I know Michael has warned me time and time again about this but I like being cut off from all feelings. The amount of things I manage to get done this way is better! He made it perfectly clear he wants nothing to do with me and I give him what he wants. I keep walking by them where he is talking to the guard and Cannon, going over to the stairs with my eyes glancing at the book.

I tell her rolling my eyes. "I definitely understand that feeling. I will make sure he doesn't get to you again." she tells me as I write down his information so she can block his access to me. Then to be sure I cover all my bases I give her a list of people I expected and those I didn't want there. I message Marie. "Do NOT ever give that fucking prick any information about me for any reason! I don't care if I am found dead in a ditch, you don't tell him shit! He fucking came up here harrassing me!"

she mumbled softly “You seem a bit confused… I have just returned your favor for saving me… Do not misunderstand as well…” “Is this a rejection of my feelings??!” “Lydia, you seem like you do not even understand your feelings. You have never loved before, so I am pretty sure that you misunderstood your emotions. Think wisely before assuming your feelings, I will forgive you for this.” “What do you mean?? I do not understand my feelings??! Are you mocking me?? Have you even loved before?? I doubt this, because you do not know how appreciate a woman’s feelings!”

_________ Sophia I finally broke and told Grandpa everything; every feeling I’d buried, every ache I never dared to name. But still, Sareena came first. I sat there with my heart wide open, voice trembling, hoping for anything. Maybe a flicker of warmth, a single kind word. Anything to prove I mattered too. But Grandpa didn’t even look at me. He made some bullshit excuse and left. Leaving me sitting there like a fool. Now I’m curled up on a stiff cot in this concrete box, staring at the ceiling as if it might answer back. The air reeks of rust and regret. No one talks to me. No one visits. It feels like I’ve already been erased.

Something I had never questioned before… because I had never been allowed to. “My father…” The words felt strange on my tongue. Heavy. Unfamiliar. I swallowed slowly, my throat suddenly dry. “What do you mean… truth?” No one answered immediately. And that silence That silence told me everything. It Was Never an Accident My heart began to beat again. Slow. Heavy. “You all knew,” I whispered. My gaze moved between them Sam, the woman, the man in front of me, and finally the glowing figure. “You all knew something about that night.”
