“They’re not just… a normal sword and shield, then,” Aiden says. They’re laid out on the kitchen table at the moment. A round shield entirely of a golden-copper coloured metal, with a round metal bowl shape making a bump in the center and thousands of tiny bumps forming rings around it out to the edge. It doesn’t show when it’s this way up, but there’s a handle on the back behind the bowl, and loops at the edges for the strap. A sword which I guess might be bronze, with a blade that bulges outwards at the top and again near the tip. The cross piece
