Three Asterisks In Books Novels & Stories

ASTRA When I was a kid, back when I wasn’t even in high school just yet, the bookstore is my favorite hangout place for so many reasons. I love reading! I love discovering new ideas! It is also my mother’s work place after she quit designing for a high end brand. But most importantly, there’s this particular type of reading material I always love to check out during my free time. A visual book. A magazine. In those pages, there are beautiful tall women wearing elegant clothes. They look mysterious and intimidating. My mother calls them a model. She then mentioned that she use to work with those kind of women before.

She turns to Asteria, “And they also read your book too but no comments, not much from people who actually read it.” She turns back to me, “For you… I got two comments from different platforms. Two from Goodnovel and Two from M********r. I am only counting the one related to the book- I mean Minerva’s book. Asteria’s book is on the blue cat, N******t.” She explains and I get lost in thought. “What about Volcanoebook, I*****r, Novelnow, Libri, R*****m, N*******r, Popink- oh my gosh, how did I know that?”

Rowyn POV “This one looks ancient as fuck,” I muttered, dragging a dusty, leather bound beast of a book towards me. The cover had a silver sigil that pulsed faintly, like it was breathing. Kyren leaned over. “It’s humming.” “No shit,” I said, flipping it open. Aster whistled low. “Uh… Rowyn? That page is glowing.” Yeah. No kidding. The script wrote itself as we watched, ink blooming across the yellowed parchment like spilled wine.

There it is, my name! This time I will definitely make sure to bring my father's favor back. My name is placed in the bottom of the glowing board and beside it is a triangle symbol. "Hey Cyrvian what does this mean--?" I asked Cyrvian who I was expecting beside me but I saw him completely shocked to what he saw, and this also made my reaction worse than him. His name is on the top, written in way darker gold. Beside it is a star. "You got it to the top!"I cheerfully told him.

Then prove it! She breathe heavily and victoriously smiled after three hours of thinking she finally thought of a plan. -- A moonless night, no shadow was seen. Silently, a suspicious figure slowly lurked around the pavements of the school, no one noticing her. Even the guards who watches the area didn't notice how swiftly she passes through each corner. With her skills in hiding, she drew closer to the entrance hoping to get the freedom that she wants. She hissed as she realized how heavily guarded the entrance was.

My fingers slid along the spines of each individual novel and then rested on a famous historical romance novel. I picked it out and smiled at it. Leave it to Lyndra to have this tucked away in amongst the more straightforward reading options. Then another book caught my eye. Its spine was one of the most detailed I had seen, with gold stars going up its length. I put back Lyndra's novel and lifted out the second one instead. It was masterfully binded with intricate detailing. The star pattern continued on the front, making up the bo
