The Light Through His Darkness

The Light Through His Darkness

My brows furrowed, but before I could say anything, she reached for the hem of her dress and slowly pulled it over her head. My breath hitched. Her back was still to me, every inch of her bare skin on display as she bent and slipped out of her lace panties. Fuck, I should’ve turned and left. But I didn’t. Then she turned her head, slowly meeting my gaze. Something in her eyes held me there—something I couldn’t read. For the first time since meeting her, I had no clue what she was thinking. I swallowed hard, my jaw tightening as she stepped into the glass shower. Steam fogged up the glass almost instantly, but it was clear to me that the temptation wasn't done.

The Vampire's Second Chance

The Vampire's Second Chance

he laughed. Shaking my head, I led Christine forward. Her hand touched the glass, it gently fell through. “Amazing,” she whispered until I pulled her arm, having the glass surround us. As we walked, the dark silence enveloped the long line to the other side. The brightness filled only a few feet in front of the portal. The darkness was so dark, even the evilest of creatures dared not look. Only the gods were said to use the darkness to transport between realms, and even they feared it.

The Alpha Who Survived My Curse

The Alpha Who Survived My Curse

She raised her hands, ready to unleash the full, devastating fury of her awakened wolf— *CRACK.* The glass windows along the entire corridor shattered inward simultaneously. But it wasn't Gina’s magic. Through the broken windows, a dark, suffocating fog poured into the hallway. The torches along the walls instantly extinguished, plunging the corridor into pitch-black darkness, save for Gina’s glowing mark. From the darkness of the broken windows, a rhythmic, bone-chilling clapping sound echoed. "A truly touching speech, sister," a voice smooth as silk purred from the shadows.

Dark of Night

Dark of Night

My eyes fall shut, trying to keep the tears at bay. “I accepted the path of darkness for myself. I’m a vampire,” Lucas continues. “That’s what we are. That’s what’s inside of us. Darkness.” He slips one hand under me, and my heart swells in my chest. “I believed I could never be anything but dark. I let it consume me, and I told myself that’s how things were meant to be. For over a thousand years I clung onto that false truth…and then I met you.” A tear rolls down my cheek.

MY BOYS IN THE WOLVES ACADEMY

MY BOYS IN THE WOLVES ACADEMY

As I approach, my feet carry me to the slightly ajar door, allowing me a glimpse inside. The room is dark and empty, casting a gloominess across the walls. The emptiness is amplifying the unsettling sound that reverberates through the darkness. Inhaling a deep breath, I slightly push the door and step inside. His voice is growing only stronger in the dark. With a sharp jostle, the moonlight enters through the huge glass window, casting a blue, dim light through the walls and the floor. The moment the moonlight falls upon his presence, my feet unconsciously take a step forward in his direction.

Accepting the darkness

Accepting the darkness

It was as if the darkness forbade the full moon to spread its light and to reveal that which was covered, even protected, by the darkness. Godric stood spellbound on the stage that led to his childhood fears. Another swallow. His throat felt dry, as if the liquid hadn't moisturized his throat in ages. Moments passed, then he was startled, dropped the candle, which rolled down the stairs and came to a stop behind the arch of the cellar entrance. The flame had gone out and only the glow of the moon seemed to give Godric a little light.

Lullaby (Fable Saga Book 2)

Lullaby (Fable Saga Book 2)

I'm struggling through darkness. Far from all light, and love, and life. Death has swallowed me whole. Gasping for breath, I struggle against the black embrace of the ocean, bindings of frozen ebony velvet that hold and smother me, pulling me down, down, down. Far below, the bus falls through the shadows; far above, a maelstrom of shattered glass dances through the water. My body is tired. Thrashing wildly against the tide, I gasp for breath, and take in a lungful of burning saltwater.
