He nodded, his face growing serious. “Well, you’re back now. And you know we’ll help you out. You’re still family, even if you left.”
I glanced at him, surprised by the sincerity in his voice. “Thanks, Ironhead. I appreciate it.”
He grunted, taking a swig from his own drink. “Don’t mention it. Just make sure you don’t bring more trouble than we can handle.”
Just then, Lightning walked into the room, his presence commanding attention. I watched as he glanced my way, then turned and left.
