This was lucky for them because when a Timekeeper comes into their full power, they have their first jump, which is always to the future. Now, when a Timekeeper jumps, only their soul jumps. They can jump through time, through space & through dimensions. There are 12 dimensions that make up the wheel of time, & a Timekeeper can land in their body in another dimension, in the past, or in the future. They jump 4 times a year, during the solstices & equinoxes, & can spend anywhere between 48-72hrs in a jump. When they jump, usually their body is occupied by another version of them, whether it be from another dimension, the past, or the future.

I replied, leaning into him for a brief moment of stolen peace. ​Leo cleared his throat, looking slightly uncomfortable but determined to keep us on schedule. It wasn't necessary cause I wasn't planning on running, not yet. It had been more than a week since I had travelled back in time. I missed technology terribly. I really wished I could hear to Taylor Swift right now. Ugh! At this point I'll be glad even if I saw a toaster. I looked around the room and saw my tools, notes and equipment scattered everywhere. I cleaned up the mess and hid it under the bed. I needed a break.

She clicked the notification box to read the message from Justin. Let’s have lunch. Shall I get you, or are you OK coming up here? Lunch? Is lunchtime already? Her eyes darted at the time on her taskbar. Indeed it’s just five minutes before twelve. I’ll come up. After sending her response, she tidied up herself and then grabbed her cup. She quickly told Leo that she’d take her lunch to which he had simply nodded. Thankfully, she did not have to wait long for the elevator to arrive. Luck must be on her side because it was empty. She punched Justin’s floor and quietly looked at the digital display change as it ascended one floor at a time.

“I guess we can wait…as long as it’s not too long.” Thinking about the arrival of the Miracles made Leesa realize something that had slipped her mind until now. Leah and her friends might be from the same world as her and Rave, but they were from decades in the future. Somehow, she and Rave had not only been pulled into another world, but they had been transported through time as well. Unless perhaps time and space were different in this place. Something from her physics class back in college flashed in her mind: “Time is not a line, but a dimension.” The concept had made her head spin back then, and it was making her head spin now.

This is Time from a million years ago. Ducking down, I conceal myself from his sight. What is he doing here? Time must have brought us a day ahead of when he planned, meaning I’m stuck in a cabin with the original Time about to walk in, and meet his mate for the first time…A million years too early.
