That was probably the trigger before the apocalypse. I remembered it vividly because it fell on my birthday. 10:28 AM. It was still 10:25 AM. Three minutes to know if this was all a dream or if life was playing a trick on me. Two minutes had passed and I was tapping my feet nervously as I stared out the window. The moment the time shifted to 10:28, I held my breath. But nothing happened. I couldn't help but let out a scoff of disbelief as I ran my hand through my hair. What was I thinking? That time travel was real?

When I heard Madison's words, I suddenly remembered that she had said the same thing the last time I had surgery. She always talked about marriage, but the timeline kept getting pushed back. First, it was when the company got on track, then when it grew bigger, then when we had saved up enough money for a house, then after my surgery. She didn't want to lose me, yet she couldn't bring herself to commit to marrying me. This time, I gave a different answer. "I'm not going to marry you." I lay in the hospital bed and watched her sit quietly beside me. Memories from the past came rushing back one after another, but what we were now felt completely different from how we had once loved each other.

There was a slight tinge of irritation in the voice. I pushed myself up on my elbows. “Just five or ten minutes. Then I’ll help you do whatever it is you want. Okay?” A terse roar blew over me. I think it was a snort. “Do you really think I’d believe that? You’d leave your friends to suffer while you take a nap?” Clearly, she didn’t know me at all. “Yes. It’s time travel, isn’t it? There’s no point rushing. If I go back, I’ll still end up at the same point in time. The past isn’t going anywhere.”

She wasn’t quite sure this guy was normal; it seemed like he had a few screws loose. She sighed and looked up at him, “It's okay, I guess.” Angelo smiled, “Would you travel back in time to make a new future, a new destiny?” Jenna smiled at the thought, and that was all it took; suddenly, the room began to spin, and the clock rang out, ding, ding, ding.

A wish to go back in time, a wish to be with Vincent, a wish for a lifetime of love. With the wish made, she opened her eyes, and for a moment, everything was still. Then, slowly, the sand in the hourglass started moving, reversing its course, pulling her back into the past, back into Vincent's world. The familiar sensation of time travel engulfed her, and with a last glance at her world, she braced herself for the journey, her heart filled with hope and love.

It was followed by a flash of white light. Hannah's figure became increasingly blurry. It was as if she were being scattered by the wind. She quickly shouted at me. "Evan, you have to live well.
