Despite everything, I smiled. Tobias came to stand before me again, and this time there was a different kind of gravity in him. Not father fear. Not old rumour. War knowledge. “Dragons live by domination,” Tobias said. The words felt like the beginning of a law. I folded my hands together. “Domination how?” I asked.

Tobias smiled, “Thanks Alpha.” I see Tobias’ eyes widen in terror. “Watch out!” He said as he shifted and leaped over me. Roger is somehow awake. “You killed my mate!” He growled going after Sable. And just before he lunged at Sable, Tobias jumped in front of her and took the blow. I landed a blow hard on Roger and knocked him out. He is still under the effects of the blow dart. Tobias shifts back and the knife is in his shoulder blade. It’s also a silver knife. Sable runs over, “Tobias, breathe. Let’s get you up and out of here.” She said, tears are forming in her eyes.

DAYA POV I am in shock. I can’t move. I can’t speak. All I can hear are Sage’s screams and cries of pain. Darius and Tobias are running to her. Before Darius or I could do anything, Tobias is grabbing the rogue by the neck. He slams him against a tree and without thinking, he plunges his clawed fist into the rogue’s chest. The rogue’s eyes bulge out of his head. Then he briefly smirks before Tobias ripped his heart out of his chest. Growling. Tobias stands over the rogue’s lifeless body, his hands covered in blood.

I stretched my arms up and stifled the groan that wanted to scream out of my mouth “How do you do that?” I asked as I rolled my neck, “Do what?” he asked back, “Make me feel so alive and wired, even when I'm ready to slip away and sleep for the next few days?”. Tobias sat up and crossed his large legs in front of him. “It’s what I was chosen for” he said blankly.

When the call was connected, he said, “Hello, my lollipop. I need your help. Do you know Brooklyn Rogers' residential address?” His lollipop was green with envy and asked, “Why are you looking for the stunning Dr Rogers’ residential address, Todd? Are you cheating on me?” Todd was not angry, he checked his watch, then he realized that he had one and a half minutes left to secure Brooklyn’s residential address. A smile played on his lips, and he said, “My sweet lollipop, you know that I have only you in my heart and my eyes. My boss is looking for Dr Rogers. If I am not mistaken, Dr Rogers is the James family doctor.

I clenched on my dress harder, trying to shift my expressions back to neutral but I knew that was impossible for me. Tobias leaned down towards me and chuckled out again, "Oh C'mon! Things like these don't embarass her. Anyway she doesn't needs to do anything. I can take care of her. All she needs to do is to look after me. Right babes!" He placed his hand on my shoulder and a lump formed in my throat. I wanted to say that I was not a Ragdoll but I couldn't say it. I was hypnotised by his love. He was the only person in my life. I needed him to stay alive.

This time a raise and eyebrow. “And?” I ask. “Wolves are very protective of their food. I am very happy that you are comfortable enough to share your food with me without even thinking about it,” Tyler finally explains. “Oh. Umm, on a different topic there’s a question I’ve been wanting to ask you. Why don’t you like rogues?”

“I… It's not Ashton’s fault. I came he—” Riktor gestured for him to stop talking. “Not bad.” He uttered while observing the place. Then his sight landed on Toby, who looked like he had stopped breathing. “Tobias, you need to relax. You look like you're about to pass out. I'm not going to hurt you kid." He stated. Toby heaves a sigh of relief. "Or at least not yet," Riktor added. He saw Toby's face tensed. "I'm joking." He said, then laughed maniacally.

Tate turned to Toby and uttered, “You’re my Gamma, minister. You’re bound to stand with your Alpha.” Toby smirked as everyone started chuckling and he rebutted, “Unless you stand against the queen, in which case, you’re on your own. The most humiliating thing to have written on my tombstone would be ‘slaughtered by a five feet creature’.” Christian snorted and started chuckling, so did Weaver. For some reason, Xandar had the urge to correct Toby, “Lucy is actually five-foot three after being marked, Toby.” This made Christian laugh even louder.

“Why you seem so calm after you hear that, Toby?” Tobias sighed, “I may seem like a heartless person to you, but there’s nothing I can do, I cant cast white magic, remember?” he said while munching the mash potatoes slowly, “besides, being panic and sympathetic won't help the patients to recover, so I was just being realistic and will help with what I can do best.” “And what is that?” the younger priest asked. “Cooking the food for them!” Tobias answered confidently, “they still need food, the Archbishop needs his food also, and I can’t cook food if I don't have enough energy!”
