“Why are you so far away from the pan, like the eggs will bite you? She teased, taking a seat on one of the kitchen stools. I turned to face her, in the process brushed my hand against the pan, and i yelped out in pain. Miss kora didn't bother to check if I was okay, all she did was laugh. "You're much better being a CEO than a cook." Kora chuckled. "Here I am, trying to be a loving husband, but you're mocking me." “You’re burning the eggs.” she pointed at the pan. I looked down at it. Damn! She wasn’t wrong. The eggs were already sticking to the pan.

Zanaya said in a matter-of-a-fact tone. "Wait, we're missing something here. Isn't it that all months have 28 days?" I asked. "That's right," we turned to Chris. "The first sentence was just a nuisance. The answer was 12. Don't you notice that the questions were purely logical and tricky. So let's not just answer. Let's look deeper." Dave typed the number 12 into a digital device attached to the box. It looked like the box when my sister was kidnapped. The box opened and a piece of paper came up to us again. Not just one but two. One was yellow, the other was only half. It’s obvious because it looked like it’s torn.

They all froze. Adrian finally looked rattled—about time. Monica shot daggers at me. "What's that supposed to mean? Adrian's in this state and you're still trying to humiliate him?" Yeah, I was done playing nice. "Pretty sure you guys humiliated me first." Someone in the back gasped, then whipped out their phone. Livestream on. "Unbelievable. Let's show everyone what a shameless woman really looks like." I just smiled, shrugged. "Cool. Let's see who the real joke is."

And for the first time, I realized how easy it was to crush curiosity with disdain. And maybe… maybe I liked it. After the interview, I spotted Tessa and Nico lingering by the side, grinning like they had just bagged an award. “Did she stutter?” Tessa teased, eyes glinting with pride. “Of course not. Not this year,” Nico replied with mock seriousness. They snapped their fingers, and I joined in without missing a beat. “Clock it,” we chimed together, laughter spilling out. "It's not a big enough hang over baby", I rolled my eyes and chuckled, no hang over is big enough for Tessy.

Taylor whispered as he said. He didn't understand the direction that Tyler's words are leading to. "That's not it. Those random kids that mommy colleagues talked about, how sure are you two that it isn't about us?". He questioned, but instead of his question making sense to Taylor and Tessa, they ended up laughing at him. "Are you trying to be the funny one, big brother?. Because you really earned that". Tessa said. She couldn't believe that Tyler could create a serious joke like this that even got her and Taylor confused for a little while.
