“Are you sure you don’t want me there? Maybe I can help get through to him. Tate can be stubborn.” I look at her, raising an eyebrow. “I was raised with four sisters, all Guardians. I know something about dealing with stubborn people.” She turns and looks at Reagan and Meadow. “I really do want to get these up. I know we’re worried about an attack coming soon.” “You go. I’ll talk to Tate.” She smiles, lifting up on her toes. “I love you, Xander.” “I love you, my little witch.”

I mumbled softly and he furrowed his brow and nodded. "I'll tell him to drive back then," he said and headed towards the door. Flora told him no that he could stay with her and I cocked my brow at her. Rogue grinned happily and opened the door to a pink haired man with a sinewy build and light green eyes. He looked at Rogue, me and then grinned at Flora. "This is Xander Louis, my familiar. Xander, this is my mate I told you about and her familiar, Flora," he said.

She didn't want to have the same awful experience I had while healing those wounds. "She's not dead, and until that feeling dies in my head, we're going to leave and find her." I snapped at Amelia, cautioning her on her next choice of words. "I'm Xander, the Alpha of Wasteland Village. It was half hidden, like she had meant to hide it but changed her mind halfway. Never mind, it’s not like I have much of an appetite or want to be around people these days. I grab something quick from the kitchen on my way to my room. I end my day exactly how I start it, by writing good night to Corinna, waiting until the ‘delivered’ sign changes to ‘read’, where I breathe a sigh of relief and put the phone down, closing my eyes with the knowledge she’s still there. I didn't know what he was thinking, and if I could read midns like he could, then I guess he wouldn't have had anything to keep to himself. Wolves couldn't read minds. We only went with our instincts, and our nostrils that could go lengths, while vampires could do their stuff, and even read minds. That was what Xander could do, he usually read the minds of people, those girls that loved to he around him, and just took their heats and read them. Though he wasn't able to do that to me most of the time, I knew that I couldn't have done it either. Why the hell was he suddenly gloomy, and why was he looking that way?

Theo gave a shy smile and waved at Xander as he walked past, causing Xander to chuckle. Xavier stopped in front of Xander as Coal's eyes land on him. Xander looks at Xavier's neck and sees his mark is fresh on each side. A small smile forms on the strong father's face and he reaches out and gives a gentle squeeze to Coal's shoulder. "Don't be too long, the kids are dying to see you in your true form," Xander said, and a smile spreads across the Alpha's face. "I won't sir. We'll be back as soon as possible."
